QUOTE(mugenz @ Apr 27 2018, 02:49 PM) U mean next time if buy another card i will get charged? Or you mean when refund they charge processing fee minus from the 500 yen deposit But when i refund the ugly suica i get 1000 yen (500 x 2 cards) didnt charge anything. every card will have the handling fee, so everytime u return the card to collect back the deposit for each card, a portion of the deposit will not be refundable. I think its 220yen handling fee per card.

QUOTE(tbcheese @ Apr 27 2018, 04:53 PM) The service charge is only deducted from the remaining credit in the card. So you will always get back at least 500yen when refunding. what if the remaining credit is less than the handling fee?

QUOTE(tbcheese @ Apr 27 2018, 05:21 PM) Then you only get back the 500 yen deposit. 😱 meaning its best if can fully utilise the credit and don't over-reload so that won't get charged with handling fee?

That's sad, the difference between hotel and Airbnb is day and night.
When I was in Osaka in spring. For the same money as a small storeroom-like hotel room where everyone on the same floor share toilet and shower room, I was able to get an sizable apartment with kitchen, balcony, washing machine etc.
