Oh dear, you're really into the yuzu one of my friend liked it.
Ah you're talking about Tsukemen. The one in your photo is tsukemen, the dry noodle where you dip into the sauce. Yes I've tried Menya and I loved it. Wanted to go again this round but couldn't due to lack of time. The Menya Musashi in Shinjuku is the main branch (which is why you'll see the word "honten"), probably that's why it's always full! In terms of Afuri, there were recommendations for it so I thought why not, let's give something new a try if you don't try it, you won't know whether you like it or otherwise.
In Ichiran, they have some new items compared to 1.5 years ago when I last went. There's a braised meat and matcha beer.
Matcha

We made a new friend and he ordered the Matcha Beer to try. He said it tastes like normal beer, but you there's abit of the matcha aftertaste. Give it a shot if you're adventurous (which you should, it's Japan afterall!).
yes, tsukemen!

ah, I didn't know that, thanks for the info. next time I'll just visit the main branch
when u mentioned braised meat, I could only remember the tantan ramen I had last month at Nakiryu, the piece of pork was beyond words, worth the extra 500 yen.
