Japan Sushi price range:

Category A: 100 - 2000 Yen are Budget
Category B: 2000 - 10000 Yen are Normal Sushi restraurant
Category C: 10000 - 20000 Yen are famous sushi chef pocket list menu (私房菜)
Category D: 20000 - 35000 Yen are Splurge, Michelin rated restaurant

25 Sushi dish with 6500 Yen price tag consider value. Because Category C sushi only get 8 - 12 dishes only

Should be

Category D: 20000-35000 Yen are splurge, Michelin-rated restaurant but got money also need see luck cause getting a reservation is freaking hard
*
Reservation actually are easy, because they dont do reservation on foreiners. If you can speak japanease or ask hotel staff reserve for you. Very easy.

Used hotel name reserve for you most easy specaily 5 star one.
I used Imperial Tokyo to reserve Jiro sushi. It always works, because Tokyo Imperial hotel due to face problem, they cannot fail any thier guest request.

This is Japan society weakness, bigger the company, face more important than anything. They will do anything to get achive.

When you start active it.

The pass it self have expiry date, 1 months didn't active it, it will automatic become useless.

Have an upcoming trip soon and it's places I've not been. Just want to get second opinion on whether there's anything I should include or exclude. Generally what I'm looking forward is a good balance of sight seeing (nature), some shopping (shopping street, snacks etc) and fun (something unique/ different to see or experience).

Yokohama
Note: I know Chinatown is not in the list and it's something iconic, but I'm not sure about it. Have been going 50-50 on the place coz I heard it's typical Chinatown. If there's anything interesting inside, perhaps you can share. I Google-d but mostly only talk about food.

Kamakura
Note: It's only a day trip so I don't think I want to squeeze Enoshima in. Unless it's a 2 day trip then it's more reasonable to do Enoshima IMO. Not sure if there's any bike rental in Kamakura with bike trail, or is it only for hiking/ walk?

Any (other) places you will recommend to include in? The Zeniarai Benzaiten Shrine looks interesting, that's why thought it'll be interesting to make a trip there.

Yokohama Chinatown & Instant noodle museum are most lousy & time wasting.
Chinatown not unique as Kobe and instant noodle museum are twice lousy than Osaka.
For me, Not recomemeded visit this 2 spot.

Kamakura can be done with one day trip. Leave Tokyo at morning (7am). It can be done. Kamakura > Enoshima Enoden Train are highlight. All attraction spot are within this line.

Kamakura most famous food are Grill Beef.

We've not visited any instant noodle museum rolleyes.gif so it's just for an eye opener. Likely will still drop by, as one of my friend is keen to go; probably spend less time there to make way for the rest. Guess Chinatown is a no no.

No beef for us, unfortunately. Thanks for the recommendation on Enoden train, will look it up to see if it can fit to our itinerary.

If you are Slam Dunk fans, then you must take Enoden Train

Anyone used interline flight or Tokyo before? I currently with Malindo-Ana, unable to check in online as Malindo had constantly change their flight time, do I need to obtain boarding pass twice or I will get all the boarding pass from Malindo counter when I check in at Klia.  The luggage will be forward to final destination(Tokyo) upon request during first check in at Malindo counter Klia, am I right?
*
No
It does not working that way
X City > KLIA by Malindo Air? You have to collect luggage at KLIA and Re-check in at ANA counter (KLIA)

ANA only codeshare with Star Alliance Airline
I belive you need collect Luggage and Re-check in at Changi.

If really got codeshare...you no need collect luggage at Changi...it will direct to Tokyo.

*
No leeches , wild dog and boars. Hiking Trail are very well maintained until no challenge.

Anyone take VIPLINER bus depart from Tokyo VIP Lounge b4? Iziz infront a family mart? Purchased a ticket which depart from there, but see from google map it doesn't look like a pick up point for bus。
Their website using google translate so their guidance are kinda messy
*
VIP Liner doest not have any ticket office. All ticket must reserve online through PC / handphone. Waiting Lounge at Tokyo will be at 2F/3F Amerex Building 1-5-9 Yaesu Chuo Tokyo. Boarding the bus will be same building which is ground Floor (Family Mart)

Hi guys, I will be flying off to Japan this coming Friday. Just wanna check, what is the common leisure dress code for guys there? If I wear bermuda pants, will I have any issue accessing the temple?

Facing a lot of obstacles, especially the bus trip from Narita to Kawaguchiko. They only allow one baggage per person put inside the bus storage. As I'm bring 2 baggage myself. I might need to think of using courier service in Narita Airport to deliver to hotel in Tokyo which I will be coming over after 2 days stay in Kawaguchiko.
*
Try avoid short pants at all cost if want visit Japan Temple.

I am taking JAL last Friday, from Narita to KL, it did passby Mt Fuji, on the right side of the plane
*
Chances are very minimum. That day you are lucky biggrin.gif

Because JAL from April 21 , 22 , 23 , 24 , 25 , 26 are using outbound route....straight fly into Sea of Japan crossing Philippine.
JAL from April 21 onwards no more passing Taiwan ....means it wont pass through Mt Fuji
