Since the Grab thread is gone, I have to open a new thread...

I just registered for Grab, and went for training. A few questions:

1) When the Grab app is running, Waze loses GPS signal. (Last time had similar issue with Uber app too.) Any solution?
I am using Xiaomi Note 4 on U Mobile.

2) The trainer advised us to call the passenger and confirm the pick up point and destination. Do you do this?

3) The trainer told us that when passing toll, use the Tambah Nilai booth and get a receipt. Do you do this?

I am also a newbie but for point 3, i can assure that all grab rides that i took they didn't even pass the tambah nilai booth. They just use normal tng or smarttag booth. Heck i dont even think the passengers would want the drivers to use the tambah nilai booth.

1. Use google map, my mi mix2 also have same problem waze gps issue, took 15-30s only can lock location. Iphone no problem.

2. I only call when their pick up address weird or when they use auto location without landmark.

3. No, dont have time for that.

1) restart the phone. Used the good quality phone. After change to ipong, no issue.

2) Most driver didn't do this. Unless it is shopping mall with multiple entrance such as mid valley which rider always put it wrong pick up location and when driver cannot find rider. you can practice that by the way

3) not for me.

1) Check your Battery Saver settings. Did it restrict Waze and Uber/Grab? If yes, change it to No Restrictions.

2) Grab sohai. Encourage rider put wrong pickup location.

3) Uber training video teach that passenger prefer you use SmartTAG because save time. Tell Grab to come into 2017 la... Toll still have to manually key in... Referral still need to manually type in referrer name/referral code instead of sending a simple URL. That day I almost got 1 referee, but he go and type my referral code wrongly. Face-palm.

for no1, I kena before. Have to reformat the phone. It will works fine.

For (1), I can't keep restarting the phone.
iPhone is too expensive for me. Any other phone can you recommend?

It's yr settings. I'm using Xiaomi note 4 doing ug for months now. No issues at all. Well isolated one off incident but generally stable.
