I bought samsung s7 edge. WarrNty only in korea. My friend wants me to help him buy on my next trip.

Seriously phones nowadays seldom spoil unless you damage it.

I have checked with Apple, all iphone 8 and iphone x bought overseas can claim warranty at malaysian authorised service center.

If u buy there with tax free it converts to only 4800 malaysian ringgit. No problems with the carrier since japanese iphones have more bands than other countries. Only downside is the shutter sound when use camera.

That one if u buy with carrier but iphones never have carrier branding. Apple store ones are all sim free phones. No carrier branding.
