Ah okay. I definitely agree. Whoever is in charge of their 'market study' needs to actually look at the market.

BSH and their marketing team? Hahahaha Don't know whether they know what is marketing is all about or not. Keep bringing models that hardly generate sale (MSX, Monkey, Supercup as you mention ).

They may be trying their luck. Who knows it could be just like another PROTON success story... X70 reviving the sales for other existing Proton models

BSH kinda already getting that with the CB650R - I heard that it has a six month waiting list now for some shops. The BigWing PJ facebook page shows a lot of X-ADV being sold as well.

Next, bringing in the ADV150 and the rumored ADV250 would be a good move.

just found out .. the Monkey and the SuperCub MY version no ABS...

For 13k .. no ABS?.....

Thats why I cancel to buy this Super Cub..

I totally support if ADV250 make it into Malaysia market. Can give XMax some competition.
But not sure about ADV150. Our market are small and Honda already have Vario and PCX for 150cc scoot..

Typical BSH. Bring in worst spec, but charge highest price. Look at PCX too.


Vario & PCX 150 - 'expensive' scooter. Not many can afford.

If Vario and PCX already been called expensive scooter, i can't imagine ADV150 will be coming here. The price surely will more expensive.

I still prefer ADV150 looks though... more modern and manly.

Anyway, I think the ADV 150's appeal is that it's basically a mini X-ADV. For many here, X-ADV is an attractive bike that is even further beyond what they can afford. I think the ADV 150 still has a market here that is bigger than that of the Monkey, Supercub and so on, because even if it's priced around 12k~13k, that's better than 70k for a full-fledged X-ADV.

The rumored ADV 250 would be another alternative to the X-ADV, but considering how BSH brought in Forza 300 instead of Forza 250, it probably won't be anywhere near XMAX price point. XMAX is very hard to beat here at the moment.

And to add, MY market demand top speed bike sustainable at the HIghway.. ..

PCX didnt fly here due to the engine tuning geared towards fuel economy = less power..

ADV150 use the same engine...

Yup, first question when rempit want to buy a bike - what's the top speed. As long as it can 'fly' they will buy it even though it vibrates like mad.

And tuned for a bit more torque and less power. So the top speed crowd definitely sakit hati.

The funny thing is, when the ysuku first came out years ago they didn't immediately like it either because it wasn't that fast out the box. Same for the RS150. LC and 125z were still king.

Then the number of aftermarket performance parts increased. Now you even see the NVX and R15 become motor panas.

So it's more like topspeed and how easy the bike will be to modify for top speed.

Yeah, everything about top speed, how quick to top speed, yadda yadda speed this speed that. Change block, change injector, etc.

2 weeks ago, I ride from Shah Alam to Kota Bharu, slow & steady (not young anymore to ride fast ) on my Rebel, dang plenty of that ysuku & RS150 zig zagging on Karak highway like no tomorrow. Safety last attitude... Grrrr I think, nearly all had been modified one way or another.

So the goverment moves are right..
