My PS4 NAT type used to be type 2 all the time but recently it has become type 3 all of a sudden. I can't join online session anymore. Tried to google + youtube for guide on how to change modem settings but I'm too dumb to understand @@

I'm having the same problem too. Since last week Saturday my PS4 NAT has changed to type 3. But not all multiplayer games are affected by the restrictions due to NAT type 3. Currently I'm still playing two multiplayer games on my PS4, which are Overwatch and Titanfall 2. For Overwatch, the connection has no problem and no lag at all. On the other hand, Titanfall 2 lagged so bad until I can't play at all.

There is a solution on how to change your NAT back to type 2, which is by port forwarding. Your can refer to this site: https://portforward.com/

In order for you to do a port forwarding, you need to set up a static IP on your PS4 and also enter your modem/router settings do some adjustments aka port fowarding. I'm not very good with IT stuff so I have no idea how to set up a static IP rclxub.gif

Assign an IP to your PS4 and DMZ that IP on your router.

I have heard of that method but have no idea how to do it. Could you explain more detail?

Just do a complete reset on your router / modem and you should be assigned a new IP the next time you sign on.

Nah I don't think so. I've been a good boy for years. I bet TM has changed my internet IP to private one (NAT'ed) me.

I just get the solution from NAT 3 to NAT 2, advise by others gamers.

Just call TM, inform them you install a CCTV but not able to view it online when you at outside. They will do some setting then restart your modem, done.

they usually will ask have you reset the modem before, or have you seek advice from CCTV installer etc. I told them the installer ask me to call TM for setting. thumbup.gif

You mean not able to view the CCTV online when not at home through smartphone/laptop/pc? The setting that they did should be changing your IP from private to public right?

Yeah I'm thinking the same way too. Maybe the reason TM changed our IP to private because we are still using 1mb speed. TM wants us to upgrade to higher speed package so we need to pay more money.
