I had booked myvi 1.5 adv white 2 weeks back.
DP 15000, ROI 3.03%, EMI 800/- for 5years with maybank

The SA said that I will be getting the car by one month time.
After reading all these stories of huge waiting time I feel that this is not going to happen.

Few questions here

1. What are the turn signal amber bulb used? Is it T20? I wanted to change to led.

2. Is it possible to change front speakers to component one's without voiding warranty?

3. I saw somewhere saying that advance model comes with tinted glass. Are the glasses tinted during manufacturing or SA is providing with tinted films?
My SA promised to give free tinting as a gift.

4. Anyone did break in the engine properly? Is it mentioned somewhere in the user manual?

5. Is it possible to change to 195 55 R15 on stock alloy rims without intercepting wheel well or springs or anywhere with load?

6. Any one installed dash cam by poering it up directly from fuse box using piggy back fuse? Thoughts?

read some where that they will be exporting both 1.3 and 1.5. Only change will be the badge.

From January 1 next year, all vehicle tint film used on newly-registered vehicles will be required to adhere to the new Malaysia Standard (MS) 2669 standard that has been set by the Department of Standards Malaysia, The Star reports. It is the region’s first standardised test for vehicle tint film.

The new standard will see tint film being identifiable via QR code security labels – with the compatible phone app, enforcement officers will be able to obtain the full specifications of the installed film and verify its compliance by scanning its code. The code will also contain details such as the make of the vehicle and when the date the product was installed.

are you sure that 1.5 ADV is coming tinted out of the factory? Does that mean no additional tinting needed?

Front windshield also got tinting? If that is the case why my SA is giving sunfilm as an offer?



Being a foreigner it is mandatory to take life insurance for the loan period. Around less than RM250 for 5 year for me.
it is advisable to add both windshield insurance and flood/natural calamity insurance.

Mine is adv. not H. I need to talk to the SA regarding this.

So if I want to make it darker, they will remove the Llumar first or reapply on existing film? Anyone has done extra tinting on 1.5 advance?

for my old 2011 proton saga fl they have quoted 9k. So decided not to trade in.
