if ur car always park under hot sun.. really not recommend to take white even with coating.. very fast become yellowish.. but white looks so good in this myvi

Yup, all paints lose its shine in time due to constant uv exposure even if u hv covered carpark, white car is the most obvious. Naturally you would need an extra layer which is good in uv protection at all time, I'm not sure ceramic/ glass coating which only has a relatively more long lasting effect is the best solution as u would not be able to detail, polish or wax afterwards, but it's definitely easier to clean and maintain, however u still need to wash your car regularly. But if u don't mind forking out extra 2k for paint respray like 5 yrs down the road then getting white is not an issue.

Respray costs the same as the protective coat, I also don't see the point. After a few years, your car will be full of scratches and dings, save the money to Respray!

My suggestion is forget about the coating, keep the money for respray. Other peoples might have different opinion but this is from my own experience. I have a white car, coating done 2 months after I received the car and come with 5 years warranty, I have never sent the car for outside wash, I spent time washing the car weekly myself. Yet, the coat has almost gone within 1 year and after that can see the dirt is eating into the paint. I need to do polish to remove the dirt. It is just so difficult to maintain.

My other car with metallic grey is almost 10 years old. The paint is still much better, just a simple wash it is shining again, so easy to clean and take care. No more white car in the rest of my life.

My SA told me okay for cash rebate but I'd like to know when to prompt her for it (cause she just keeps saying yayayayaya I'll give you, like in an "apa-apa" attitude just so I don't ask make further inquiries)

Actually i have make up my mind to get myvi 1.5 av but it seems honda got rebate now. Any reason not to choose Honda JAZZ 1.5L S? It should be auto also right? Or kia picanto?  1st time car buyer here.
