I think the long wait for 1.5 is not because of the export...

Does anyone faced scratches on the car in first day? Is it possible to get it claimed by 1000 km inspection? I got one long and deep scratch on the tachometer, one short yet deep scratch on the main mirror, hairline scratch on the rear left door.

Known issues with the 3rd gen Myvi (all variants)-Updated 26/1/2018

1. Dashboard rattling and creaking (suspects - air cond outlets, clips for the entire head unit area, plastic clips used for the panels on the dashboard, touch and go sensor, various cables in the dashboard are touching a horizontal bar[not visible without removing dashboard panels]

Possible solutions - ask SC to tape the various cables, insert sponge

2. Door rattling sound - blame it on the cheap plastics, too much gap, door lock cable touching the metal door assembly, too little sound proofing

Possible solutions - ask SC to tape the various cables and insert sponge or DIY, vibratile(gear up) or get Vibramat (sold by a member of this group, Encik Lima Enam)

theoritically yes.

but practically, I dont think so. Cause I use my car to KTM station everyday, less than 4km everyday. Batt still last >2y on my Axia, and previous Kia Forte also >2y.

Finally today got my 1.5AV.  So far no weird noise coming from dashboard or suspension.  Love the car so far   

Above 110 can feel the front is floating sway feel which requiring a firmer steering grip to control the direction following the road & pointing direction which is quite dangerous when negotiating a bend on the right lane next to the middle curb or metal separator!

Lol not this kind of effect which even a Merz or BM can't escape! I am rather referring to my 1.3g road holding stability which there is a need to firm & stabilize it down as much as possible if I want to enjoy my G3 enthusiastically

are you the only person in the car when you hit 110 km/hr?

if so instability is expected. I felt this when I drive my honda city and no other passengers are occupied.

I use RON 97 for first 2 tanks hoping to get better engine break-in.  I also turn off off the engine auto stop for first 1000km.
Apply sealant if you're lazy like me. Wax won't last very long.

Hi everyone. I'm new here.  I own the New Perodua Myvi 1.5 AV (2018 batch but book in 2017). I received the car delivery on 23rd of January 2018. I've read some of the Problems highlighted on the earlier thread by some existing owners.

So far, the car is good except for some problems which I actually raised with the service centre which done the 1000km inspection. One thing was that weird sound coming from the Toyota 1.5 Dual VVTI engine. The reply I got from them is that the situation is normal. I don't know how far that is true but I accepted their explanation. I was just sort of annoyed with the noise the engine emits. The car electronics are all working fine. Eventhough my car has clocked the mileage to over 1k+, I'm still cautious about revving my car's rpm above 2-2.5 or driving fast beyond 75-80+km/h. The car has some annoying clunking noise while going past uneven roads and bumps but the mechanic told me those are normal. I noticed there are also some little noise emitting from the door panel as I drive (That could be due to knocking on potholes and uneven roads).

My main complaint is the LED headlamps (Both sides). This has been raised on the start of thread and I'll have to agree that I have the same problem on my new car. Apparently, no matter what sort of gear you engage in be it in P R N D, with or without the air conditioning on, the main reflector of the headlamp, one column of it is showing signs of vibrating. I told the mechanic to open the front hood as I suspect the vibration is caused by the engine (because the engine has quite a vibration as well). They could not give me a good answer. All they did was ensure me they will forward this to Perodua HQ as this could be a defect from the headlamp manufacturer or it's caused by the engine vibrate that sends the vibration to the headlamp. They recorded a video with the vibration.

I hope they will come up the result of the investigation soon and hopefully they can replace or rectify the headlamp issue. 

All I can say is still... It is a great car to drive!

Yes unfortunately.  There are some minor annoyances on the new batch myvi.  I hope they get it fixed as soon as possible.  Sorry about the misleading post but what I meant on the RPM is I Dare not floor the car past 2.5. I've been maintaining the car at 1.8-2.0 rpm. Cruising at 70-80 km the RPM stood at 1.8. The 2.5rpm is due to me sometimes need to overtake a car in front. The clunking noise seems to come from the back seat.

But I'll have to say this.  With a full tank of petrol and driving at a ideal speed of 60-80km maintaining rpm at 1.8-1.9,  the myvi is really a fuel saver! I did airport trips mostly to and back from KLIA and I got 700km+ mileage with just a full tank of petrol.  I put Petron.

1.5AV is still pending to deliver as the component of ASA is unable to supply by the vendor to support productio line.

I booked 26.12.2017 still waiting.
May be can get after CNY that is earliest....

Didn't notice the hole(s), what's more is the rear booth but is worth to know it too   Anyway, to many whom may or have done rear booth soundproofing then all these 'breathing' hole(s)   may & will be covered already

Some car do have this kind of hole.. but usually covered with the rubber/plastic plugs..

I already open the trunk and see...there is no hole on it. The things u you saw on the video is some sort of sponge stick under the cover.
