Easy game... hmm... i find it quite difficult even in dh mode... i still havent gotten a S rank Dmc to me is one of the most complex action game...

Basically to do instant-rev you just need to press the trigger at the end of each combo, yea... just... while i can barely IR 10% of the time...

Refer to ssjBen S ranking requirement in previous pages . I found it pretty useful to keep track of points requirement . There's a time when I fought Agnus , I purposely let him absorb my HP so that I can whack him again for higher style points .

As for instant rev , I kinda got hang with Ex-act , 1 lantern , especially performing normal slash , high roller and slash down . Max act isn't that often , I always IR for 1 lantern then manually rev the remaining .

is normal at early stage kinda hard to get S rank, coz u might spend alot of time searching arn and solving puzzles which may affect ur time ranking...
after finish DMD or SOS , try replay lower ranked missions, S is not impossible anymore

True enough as after you have played even harder modes. You will start to get used to your opponents movements and tactics. So basically you will know when to avoid,when to attack and how to attack an opponent without getting hit. For me, I started playing demo a lot which slowly helped me with my rev timing ( thz to breakthru post of that Yapun Fella ) and then I got so used to it on demo and when the game was release. It was practically a piece of cake to me. Its all about timing and d animation of an attack. Each animation of each attack has it own timing. If you can't get used to rev all the attack, I would suggest getting used to one combo attack and perfect your rev timing on that combo.

I think easy is use Super mode to get the rank S

actually not easy to get s rank with super bcoz you got penalty. and i find it difficult to play in dmd using super coz
devil trigger don't replenish health anymore....by the way i'm not a good dmc player, thanks to orb farming i can beat dmd mode.

Hey guys, I was running a small experiment on the game yesterday on how its ranking system works(no this isn't the requirements for each mission per se).

I ran through a few missions(M06 and M17) on DMD with Nero/Dante.

For mission 04, what I did was backtrack the entire mission to collect orbs as in break every single object, combat adjudicator and red orb crystals then farm style points like no tomorow in secret missions and what not. I got a D in the Time rank(obviously), but indeed I got S in both Style and Orbs Found. My end result?

I miraculously got an S eventhough my Style points is just 1k+ more than the set requirement for S ranking Style. I can't confirm anything yet, but it looks like the game has a sort of "hidden style points" meter. As in eventhough you don't get style points in secret missions and breaking red crystals, your style gauge STILL goes up. The game looks at this as an addition to your points.

I did the same with Dante for mission 17 and it appears to do the same thing as well. Will try to do more experiments on the ranking system when I have time.

So time isn't important? Cause I keep getting time and style while my orbs sucks big time.

Wouldn't say time isn't necessary but time is the easiest to score S . As long as the total of time + style + orbs meets the requirement S , it will be S just like the list Ben posted earlier . Sometimes I got A-A-S also won't score S ranking .

BTW , after I started to learn finding orbs , it isn't that hard already . Nero especially has orb detector , the glowing devil arm if there is nearby hidden orbs . Just stand still in certain area when the arm glows and you will be rewarded .

Any idea how much does this game cost @ GH?
