QUOTE(infe_red555 @ Feb 14 2008, 12:26 AM) I think you should be asking the japs for a S video .... Most of them are world ranking man ! I couldn't even beat their score accept one mission that I got no2 ... I think my rank is going down as we speak. Japs are mad about this game and I would personally say they are the best ! .... Good Job Japs ... waitting for some youtube for Hell and Hell mode. Ps : Ps3 has a more shaper look for details compared to xbox but xbox colors are more vivid and COLORFULL looks so glossy. You do know they play until gila but still waras and we can't beat that. We play till gila and we sure become gila. Nah, I just want the video walkthrough. Is really nice seeing the video doing all the cool combo while playing in dmd mode.

QUOTE(MmxZero @ Feb 13 2008, 11:39 PM) Waiting for your DMD mode Rank S video for DMC 4. I'm sure you will do it. Whooo... that may take a while, I only have 4 missions S ranked on DMD. Japs are pretty nuts at this game, especially Brea - one of the best DMC3 players around is tearing the game upside down.

I enjoy more watching their crazy video than playing it myself... i can't do even half quarter one tenth of their combos... i really got hard time getting a single s ranking and tats devil hunter mode only... i read/watch tutorials, guides, i clearly know what should be done, but when i hold the controller, i start mashing buttons How the heck you guys press so many buttons at one time? Lock + rev + sword + charge gun + jump + direction This post has been edited by zhiyung: Feb 14 2008, 02:48 AM

Normally i would just forget charge shot for nero ... cause its so ridiculous .... for me to pull that stunt but dante is a different case as his attacks are slow and gives you time to change button and charge your shot. Basic thing is that you must purchase MAX ACT ... Keep getting use to the rev attacks ... so when you pull off ur third attack. Unleash a devastating uppercut attack and straight thrust below ( if you dont want to get down since ur surrounded by foes = Devil Bringer one of the guy and start slashing till you get at least 1 rev then go all the way down to clear the bottom ) seriously after this combo you will reach either A or S .. depends on how good you execute it. Once down ... repeat the same slashing mode until you get 3 bar rev and do a dashing thrust .. probably after doing this you will reach SS (if there are multiple enemies infront of you, you will most probably get a SSS ).... remember to taunt as well ... If you combos are good enough ... When you reach A combo .. just do a taunt .. it will straight bring you to S ... enjoy ps:Please post up links to dante combo. I would love to check out his moves and max out some of his combos. This post has been edited by infe_red555: Feb 14 2008, 04:12 AM

Stylish play tips:
- Taunt at the appropriate time - Mix up your combos - Usage of Exceed(both IRing and Max-Acting) is a MUST for Nero - Jump Cancelling, Table Hopping and DTing are a great way to improving your style gauge - Do not spam Buster like no tomorow, its damaging yes but doing it often will result in unstylish play
Finally, practise and practise and practise. Learn your enemies well, their weakpoints especially.

Good luck spamming shotgun bullets into them.

Shottie+JCing+Trickster = Win.
Faust may be a sickening problem though.

Ok... now i know taunting can add styles... so i have to do a taunt between my combo? Like after slamming it to the floor then taunt then start juggling again?

IMO , you should taunt after you finish off an enemy . Eh I remember taunting add devil trigger as well , that's depend if you fight boss can start with the taunt . Don't spam your taunts. Do take a heavy note that Nero's taunts are much more slower than Dante's are, with this in mind taunt only when it is safe to do so. Nero's taunts needs to go through almost the entire taunt animation(be whatever it is) to raise the style gauge.
Not nessasary to finish off your enemies and then only taunt however. If theres a group of scarecrows(a pack of 4-6 usually), you could unleash a reasonably long combo on a scarecrow first, taunt the entire group of them(don't use lock-on when doing so) and then finish your job. Once taken out the entire group, taunt again for some spice. Its up to you when you want to taunt, but do it stylishly as in make use of the taunt like a finishing salute.
Taunting, last-minute dodging(or table hopping if you have it purchased for Nero) and enemy stepping, all adds up Nero/Dante's devil trigger.
I haven't started BP yet as I am currently going through HAH mode.

Easy-auto blows, completely destroys the gameplay IMO.
Most moves can be IRed when the animation is near its end.
For example, Streak can be IRed as soon as the sword reaches its peak vertical slash. Its not hard once you get the hang of it.

Auto mode wont allow you to control your attack how you want it to go. It will just whip out a random combo which leaves you vulnerable for attacks. PLUS ! the combo you dish out wont be as painful as the manually combo.

QUOTE(mypetridish @ Feb 15 2008, 06:52 AM) guys, how long did you take to finish the game? if this game takes too long i might just buy it. renting it right now If your just planning to play the game one time and just leave it alone. Its gonna take you less than 1 week or less. If your really into the game and try out all the gameplay and purchase all skills and items. Its gonna take you weeks.
