Yeah, those are running shoes but with minimal cushion and a flat sole. I've used those for sometime now. I know that a hard sole is ideal but I've had no issues with it till now.
I used to Squat with one that has thick cushion to 'absorb the impact from running' with a rounded sole (by Sketchers). Boy am I going to remember that mistake. It's great for running but I find it terrible for casual use. I almost tripped on multiple occasions whilst walking because I 'kicked' the floor.

try also squeeze your glutes at the top of the rep, much like u do for deadlift. that reset should put u in better position.

if u're ok with the shoes then i guess no harm done. but as soon as u find it in the way of your training ditch it and go barefooted temporarily if u have to.

bro i'm feeling the same pain on my right side of glutes near hip..can feel the tightness when standing or walking. Sitting time no prob. How u overcome this? is this due to poor form? wearing gym belt can solve it?
