QUOTE(Mikahl @ Dec 16 2017, 10:34 AM) Agreed. But imho, neither the MT09 nor the Z900 is a close to being a 'beginner' bike. These machines were designed with so much potential power that a simple miscalculated twist would send even the most experienced into harm's way. I think a beginners bike should be easy to maneuver, is trashable, with parts that are cheap and easy to replace, and has a low initial cost of ownership just in case you find that biking on Malaysian roads ain't your thing. My buddy was ill advised, bought a Z900SE at the beginning of the year, and it's sad when he ask me if i knew anyone who wanted it. Now bike's up for sale with just over 3000km. How much? Why selling ? Anyway what's lacking on the mt are the safety stuffs. No abs. |

I have my bike for about a month now.
When you engage to 1st gear from N, do you get a strong clunk? I was on vs650 before this. The clunk wasn't that strong. |

Anyone change to a slip on ezzos piap on their z900?
It is louder ? Not keen to get full system. I use this bike everyday to office. So Full system is too loud for everyday use. Painful to my ears. |

QUOTE(Cyphereza @ Sep 17 2018, 10:44 AM) It is just a bit louder. Just a tiny bit. Sounds nicer with the slip on ?IINM, max noise permitted by the Dept of Environment Malaysia is 99 dBA. If you remove the breadbox, it is a whole lot louder. p/s: Try wearing earplugs. |

Just now I was damn dumb...
Been working non stop from 8am until 10.45pm with only 10 minutes break for a quick lunch, damn tired and blur when I took my bike. Totally forgotten about the disc lock. Dropped the bike in the car park. I guess I have to start using the reminder cable. Like this... |

QUOTE(mADmAN @ Sep 22 2018, 09:57 AM) oh damn... hope not much damage to the bike.... No damage except for a light scratch on the handle bar end.this is the main reason i dun wanna use the disc lock (even though i got it as a free gift).... scary la....even with the reminder cable. i think a simple padlock at the sprocket might be better and less damaging in case u forgot. Picking up the bike is crazy. Heavy . Even when using the proper technique. Usually the alarm on the disc lock will trigger off when I forget to remove it . The moment I start the bike the alarm will sound. Bad luck because the battery is flat and hasn't change it yet. Sigh. This post has been edited by skyblu3: Sep 22 2018, 10:07 AM |

QUOTE(TheOnly @ Sep 22 2018, 04:47 PM) Been using liquimoly since i bought the bike, so i don't even know it's good or not, whatever is the highest grade rating available in store- never bothered to actually remember the number. Your bike got so many reflective stickers. Haha. But so far - no problem at all, i guess that's a good sign? Anyway, which liquidmoly u using? Full syn? QUOTE(nabelon @ Oct 19 2018, 10:37 PM) Slipped a bit once on a wet road when I accelerated over the the white arrow on the road. Too much tork. Must be cautious on wet road. Didn't slipped sideways, but just wheel spinned faster over the white line. Lol. |

QUOTE(Cyphereza @ Oct 20 2018, 02:42 PM) It CAN slip, only if you crack it open on slippery road (like from 10% throttle to full throttle). I also had thought previously, oh my, how am I able to control the 125 horses on slippery road without traction control. So far, no problemo. The throttle is sooooo smooth that it does not need TC. I even ter-wheely once. Scared me.Actually, if you want TC, you can get the Z900RS. It is equipped with KTRC. |
