Agreed. But imho, neither the MT09 nor the Z900 is a close to being  a 'beginner' bike. These machines were designed with so much potential power that a simple miscalculated twist would send even the most experienced into harm's way. I think a beginners bike should be easy to maneuver, is trashable, with parts that are cheap and easy to replace, and has a low initial cost of ownership just in case you find that biking on Malaysian roads ain't your thing. My buddy was ill advised, bought a Z900SE at the beginning of the year, and it's sad when he ask me if i knew anyone who wanted it. Now bike's up for sale with just over 3000km.

Chill if its power wheelie you dont need to shit yourself, i have done it many times, just dont chop the throttle and you will be safe..

It is just a bit louder. Just a tiny bit. I tried once to measure the dB. Not sure if it was accurate, got 79-80 dBA (idle) with my slip on.
IINM, max noise permitted by the Dept of Environment Malaysia is 99 dBA.
If you remove the breadbox, it is a whole lot louder.

p/s: Try wearing earplugs.

this is the main reason i dun wanna use the disc lock (even though i got it as a free gift).... scary la....even with the reminder cable.

i think a simple padlock at the sprocket might be better and less damaging in case u forgot.

Been using liquimoly since i bought the bike, so i don't even know it's good or not, whatever is the highest grade rating available in store- never bothered to actually remember the number.
But so far - no problem at all, i guess that's a good sign?

It CAN slip, only if you crack it open on slippery road (like from 10% throttle to full throttle). I also had thought previously, oh my, how am I able to control the 125 horses on slippery road without traction control. So far, no problemo. The throttle is sooooo smooth that it does not need TC.

Actually, if you want TC, you can get the Z900RS. It is equipped with KTRC.

I do. Keramat to Bangsar via DUKE Highway. I used to use AKLEH and Jalan Tun Razak.
