QUOTE(dikae @ Jan 10 2018, 04:31 PM) this has been discussed earlier... its true that ios cuts off current to the phone at 100% but as your phone goes on standby, it literally drop.. so its like 100% -> 99% -> 100% -> 99% -> 100% -> 99%... after a long period of time.. it wears off the battery.. yes this is true.. better to plug in the charger and cable (if can original or good brand type) while using your phone, than to leave it charge overnight. Some helpful tips on battery life: https://www.techrepublic.com/blog/10-things...vice-batteries/ This post has been edited by Davidtcf: Jan 11 2018, 02:14 PM |

best don't install 11.2.2 patch first as it is impacting performance of iPhones.
it contains patch for meltdown and spectre bug.. but this fix is slowing down devices: https://www.forbes.com/sites/gordonkelly/20...e/#34ce58a365ec read "deal breaker" part all the fixes for Spectre and Meltdown causing issues.. for Intel and other companies.. the patch needs to be applied onto the CPU itself which is causing performance degradation. https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2018/01/spe...cks-get-closer/ |

lets hope there won't be an attack that is made of Spectre and Meltdown vulnerability. If got it's gonna be devastating since almost all devices on the planet will be affected.

True Tone display is good coz it won't spoil/hurt your eyes as much when looking at it in a dark environment.

QUOTE(krishtiano86 @ Feb 6 2018, 10:21 AM) I even switch on night mode 9pm to 6am (via scheduled settings) in case I need to look at my phone during those times. QUOTE(realitec @ Feb 7 2018, 10:29 PM) Yeap, planning to get it from UAG official store too. But you said bulky, i bought one casing from Rhinoshield, its abit bulky too, now i left it in the drawer 🙊 Any slim casing with nice protection to recommend? their videos here (tests and stuffs - can search other ppl testing also in youtube): https://www.youtube.com/user/urbanarmorgear/videos yea Monarch will be a higher grade than my Plasma.. tradeoff is it is slightly heavier. once u start using UAG u won't go back to other cheap cases.. u will get why they are pricey. I got mine here: https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?act=ST&f=271&t=4077350 seller trustworthy and will reply your whatsapp super fast. Ori products. QUOTE(J shao @ Feb 9 2018, 08:40 AM) Using iPhone 8 now. Kinda hang and a lot bugs. It could be ram management (2gb ram) or it could be iOS (then I have nothing to blame). I installed telegram, WhatsApp, Facebook, WeChat and all. I only allowed notifications for WhatsApp. Still, I have to charge my phone twice. Go every places also need search for power outsource. A bit annoying la tbh. Nevertheless, the compact design allows me to use with one hand while I’m in my car lol yeah many people underestimate the importance of a bigger battery... keep needing to plugin to a power-source gets annoying really fast. This post has been edited by Davidtcf: Feb 9 2018, 03:09 PM |

QUOTE(realitec @ Feb 20 2018, 12:17 AM) glad you liked your case! QUOTE(attw @ Feb 20 2018, 06:56 AM) Depends on your budget. Some of the better ones would be Otterbox Symmetry/Commuter, Spigen Tough Armor and UAG Plasma/Monarch. I'm using UAG Plasma.. good enough if you're on a budget. Monarch has double the fall protection of Plasma. |

QUOTE(attw @ Feb 21 2018, 08:19 AM) I think if you're on a budget, even the Plasma is out of reach ok la if you dropped your phone (slightly higher/harder than usual) something outside/inside pecah.. it's gonna costs way more than RM159 to fix. RM159 for the 8 Plus right? I know it's RM20 cheaper for the iPhone X. for a phone you bought for RM3k+ why wanna save this money? It's insurance for your phone basically. In terms of how careful I am with my phones I rate my self a 8/10, but yea shit still happens.
Examples of past "accidents" with smartphones: 1. Accidently dropped from my pocket while sitting down, 2. While driving put on passenger seat the phone flew forward when emergency break.. 3. Dropped from my hands accidentally due to slippery or clumsy times.. 4. While carry something and holding my phone somehow lost grip of it. 5. Dropping it on the road while entering car holding it in my hands... screen protector shattered due to road's surface. So far this iPhone 8 plus adi dropped twice lol both with UAG on.. can tell u the sound of it dropping is not as painful and "nicer" to hear... not as loud a "thud as normal case. Phone also still ok working as normal. This post has been edited by Davidtcf: Feb 22 2018, 09:07 AM |

QUOTE(krishtiano86 @ Feb 26 2018, 08:40 AM) So guys, copy out your videos/ pictures from iPhone (onto a computer) then delete everything on it. That is the main reason it took up so much space.Just after 2 months of use, my iCloud account is 53% full. Means in 2 months most prolly i'll max out the 5GB. Do you guys subscribe for the 50Gb or 200gb? Or is there any other way to back up iPhone? This post has been edited by Davidtcf: Feb 26 2018, 09:00 AM |

QUOTE(realitec @ Feb 23 2018, 12:16 PM) I see Maybe Monarch will be bulky than Plasma. I am new to UAG Monarch too, so far so good. I find it lighter, but of course still bulky. Plasma's problem is it will get oily really fast.. need to always wipe with wet tissue QUOTE(Sammich! @ Feb 25 2018, 02:07 PM) i bought a tempered glass from lazada and my kid take lego hit the screen already crack. when buy it say have 9h hardness won’t break even use hammer hit 😓 let us know the brand u using so we will blacklist it... yea hard to know till experience it.all cheat ppl 1. i thought of removing it and don’t use any protector. anyone don’t use and glass not break? cos i8+ claim use unbreakable glass This post has been edited by Davidtcf: Feb 26 2018, 09:03 AM |
