QUOTE(julchin_09 @ Jul 25 2007, 12:31 AM) Hi, Just wondering what cam are you using that doesn't cope well with long exposures? No Long Shutter Noise Reduction function in the cam? olympus E-500 Noise Handling very bad. I turn off noise reduction sometimes as i want to bring as much details in as possible. actually HDR doesnt need to be "surreal". It's all about getting the perfect exposure by utilizing the most dynamic range

QUOTE(Peisqo @ Aug 1 2007, 10:37 PM) Hmm .. did u use 1 picture only ? Doesn't seem to have a big change ... i use 7 shots and 2 shots respectively. QUOTE(R a D ! c 4 L @ Aug 1 2007, 11:57 PM) actually HDR doesnt need to be "surreal". It's all about getting the perfect exposure by utilizing the most dynamic range R a D ! c 4 L is right. HDR is all about getting the perfect exposure IMO. HDR can help you to 'modify' the place where it's too dark or too bright.. HDR doesnt mean need to be fancy in the frame. Hope you all enjoy. interesting tread, i love it

Getting Started

Hey all havent come here for a while, took some HDR thought want to share here An ordinary day I tried handheld for this HDR below, result? Failed failed failed hahaha, train better arms first then perhaps i can attempt HDR without tripod Both pics are not taken in RAW but JPEG, RAW gives better result but the processing time too long..no patience lar

QUOTE(nuox @ Aug 2 2007, 09:16 AM) hdr can only be made through dslr only? i think if you set your digital camera on a tripod, set exposure manually one by one, then later you can merge them all using photo matix too, but i don't know lar cuz i never tried with my digi, try and see, don't forget to show us the result !

QUOTE(nuox @ Aug 2 2007, 09:16 AM) hdr can only be made through dslr only? HDR is software base, any camera shall do, as long as you can set different exposure compensation. Even without it, you can do it in PS by using layer and layer mask. http://www.juzaphoto.com/eng/articles/laye..._layer_mask.htm

Hoongji, am I looking at 3D images without 3D glasses? Just joking. You don't necessary have to merge 2 photos to create HDR, try it with a single photo.
