QUOTE(William_Yeo @ Apr 25 2007, 06:27 PM) Hi guyz, i wish to get a entry level SLR... but confuse bout d40 and 350D.. actually which 1 are more better and wat is the different? 350D. the reason would be you can use all the canon lens. simple as that. d40 dun have AF motor on body. so when you use d40 with a lens without a built in AF motor, you'll have to manually focus *btw, wat is the price now for this 2 model ? and any shop recommened ?? i really think any would be good. d40 has less mp,no af for some lenses but on par noise levels with 350d,i would think better color rendition than canon and also wb.
would suggest u try out both and see for yourself |

Simple, if u frens all use Nikon, then go for Nikon. And vice versa.
Like me, all my frens all use Nikon so easy for them to teach me and Nikon tricks. Some more some lens can borrow and test. U won't go wrong with either brands. |

you wont go wrong with it. If u suggested D70s with 350D then its a different story |

350D. lenses are cheaper. compare the 50mm f1.8 canon lensess with teh 50mm f1.8 nikkor lens... about RM60 different! nikkor more expensive..
same thing with all their lenses tho.... but are they BETTER!? that one.. don't bother la. actually.. no one has actually compared nikon and canon and came up with solid proof that one is better than the other. one man's meat, anothers poison. also, don't bother about d40. get d50 or higher. prices will always go down. i suggest u stop thinking and start buying one. by the time u think of buying one, another model will appear, and u will think again, and the cycle continues. start shooting ASAP! after all... it's all about the shots. Added on April 27, 2007, 10:20 ambtw, i don't like the small handgrip of 350D and 400D and d40x and d40. what to do... these are the semi pro dslrs. anywyas, i'm 6 feet 2 with big hands. my cousin, LOVES the d400... (she's small) so yeah. one man's meat, another's poison. This post has been edited by miraged: Apr 27 2007, 10:20 AM |
