Guys I got a question, forgive me if out of topic and I will remove it if required.

The past couple of weeks, I have been receiving multiple SMS from CIMB saying my transaction is eligible for the Hari Hari Menang campaign. The link works and I get to play the game.

Now, the funny thing is I do not have a credit card with CIMB. I called their CS and they verified that my name and IC is not an account holder on their database. According to CS, someone must have accidentally wrote a wrong number in their form and CS will escalate to their manager.

Now here is where I get suspicious. Doesn't the OTP, activation and stuff require codes sent to the registered phone number? If the other person did wrote the number wrongly, how were they able to get OTP or activate their credit card?

Is this something I should worry about or really like the CS said, a honest mistake?
