i am holding CIMB Petronas Mastercard since 2010.
I never applied for VI. A few months ago, they sent the additional card to me without my knowledge/consent and gave me some cash credit and Premium Lounge vouchers, so I accepted and activated the new card.
CIMB VI gives 0.5% rebate on local transactions and 1% rebate on overseas transactions. Quite good for big amount transactions.
But you may look into Maybank FC Barcelona Visa Signature (2%/10%, spend up to RM2500 per calander month) or RHB Visa Signature (2%, spend RM3,500-5,000 per statement month). Monthly cashback is capped.

Hmm... seems like CIMB CR is nothing special anymore... it's just plain card with puny rebates capped and it's a free card... hmm...
Time to cut it ... shakehead.gif

thanks cybpsych for the good news, but still don't know applicable to me or not.  hmm.gif
CIMB is slow in approval. You got no choice but to wait... if they told you 3~5 days, you better put your expectation at 10 days instead...

Looks like this Cash Rebate CC is not that beneficial to us anymore apart from that 2%/5% petrol rebate hmm.gif
Terminated my Cash Rebate CC already... spent alot and monthly cash back is like less than RM10... duH~

For me, the only convenience is that my salary also comes into this bank hence I applied for it earlier...

hi guys, hope some ppl can help me out here. Usually pay my CIMB Cash Rebate from Cimb Clicks directly on 1st of the month (statement due 17th).

When selecting to pay, do you guys usually click statement balance or full balance? Most of the time, full balance will be higher charge than statement balance.

However, for my DEC 2017 statement, my full balance was lower than statement balance. So of cos la I click full balance.

Come Jan 2018, I kena finance charge rm24. According to the customer rep, it's cause I paid Full balance instead of Statement balance. Wtf? I thought full balance means clear all debt. Not my fault if they included the cash rebate in the calculation right? Anyone kena before?
You paid in full and you should not be charged further as you even paid those that had not been stated in the last statement... but for RM24, that's alot too... that's weird... hmm.gif

QUESTION :

Query about  CIMB Bank's 0% Easy Pay product.

Why this one is very hard to find the shop using this installment ?
Usually, a shop that does installment services can apply the 0% installment for you as CIMB, MAYBANK were the common cards they accept...

I did exactly that. I set my debit and credit card alert to rm 1 so I always get an alert. Call CS.
At RM1 ?
Only by calling ? Are you aware can it be done on CIMB Clicks ?
I tried looking around but can't find any options on it...
