Hey guys, been a silent reader for a few years now and there's some experience that I would like to share in case there are any others still out there that are somehow still finding their hands itchy in upgrades(?) for their now-ageing car (mine is 1.8mt 2015).

Upgrades that I've done so far are:
1. F-tuned gt series absorbers complete with pillowball top mounts.
2. Front strut bar (UR)
3. Project μ brake pads
4. Advanti 17inch rims with Michellin PS4s (215/50/17)
5. Sscus viper seats (front pair)

As far as I can say for them after actually living with the upgrades for 6 months now is that:
1. Don't get it if you don't want to be in a workshop every few months or so, pillowball mounts are harsh and idiotic for daily drives on malaysian roads. Plus, F-tuned quality is very debatable. LGT standard shocks should be more than sufficient.
2. It's pretty much no harm done aside from a few hundred bucks.
3. Does somehow have better braking performance but that might be a placebo effect too. Standards work just fine unless you're driving like a maniac down Genting.
4. The tires are godsent. Miles better than the standard continentals and the wet grip is immense. Increased confidence in whacking those fast corners, plus no more wheel spin at traffic lights! Downside, pricey as hell.
5. Does a pretty good job holding your body in place during those corners, standards seats are like a slip-and-slide. The rails however are questionable, mine was squeaking like crazy during normal drives due to the road vibrations. Turns out there's metal rubbing metal on the railings, filed it down and so far so good.

Well that's all folks. Ah not to mention Brother Kenny helped to tune the ecu abit so there's that. Pretty okay with my little lala for the time being until I get spare cash to dabble around with some other car.

Cheers!

Thanks for sharing your experience. What do you think of those 17" Advanti rims? Are they originals?

I think most advanti rims are ori. They are no expensive rims..
I planning to migrate to advanti once my sets of tires wear off.
Can't find the tire for my odd size rim d.. Which have been serving me for 6 years + cry.gif

Advanti Hybris, 7.5j +45 offset. Bought it from King of Rims at Shah Alam. Should be original I suppose. Compared to stock, they are lighter but in terms of structural rigidity, nothing beats the stock ones. For design wise, it's a-okay.

Looks like Advanti is a good choice... I am looking at Enkei Tuning series... Not sure what the RM1k difference would get me... 205/60/R16 tires are a pain in the @$$...

King of Rims is under my radar too! They have quite a selection of originals and not originals...
