If you can use both vlc and 5k player why use 5k?
The image size attach is different, right appears larger, wondering is there any up sampling or changes in output format?

not 100% accurate in size, but i can guarantee when displaying full screen, the imagery just look like the two pictures attached above. The 5K Player image just too blurry. I wish it's something wrong i did on the 5K player, because it seems like a popular player in the internet, hard to believe quality so bad.
I use the 5K Player  just because VLC cannot play 4K videos properly.
If you have other free player to play good quality 4K videos, please let me know.

Thank you!

Vlc cannot play 4k properly hmm.gif what is not supported? You mean those dolby settings... in terms of video codec, it should support all. Care to elaborate more on your input format?

btw, i just found out that by enabling the hardware accelerator setting in VLC, it can now playback most 4K videos smoothly, except for one: 4K on Webm file format.
previously, my setting was “Automatic”, which it suppose to auto-enable it since my hardware is not so weak after all. Not sure why.

Maybe you need to upgrade your graphic card driver.
To know if the playback is not smooth due to CPU bottle neck, just open the task manage to check CPU usage.
