Anyone did research on how to set up dashcam? It seems the usb ports will still have power even with engine off. I tested this today at the showroom but didnt test the cigarette lighter

Disappointed that such an expensive car doesn't get 360 cam like in other countries.
**update on dashcam power question. I tested plugging into the USB port in front console. The power do turn off after about 10 mins or so. So no issue |

QUOTE(mr.milk @ Aug 8 2019, 03:11 AM) I installed yi dashcam. I hide the cable in the iactivesense camera cover, across the headliner to the pillar, then inside the door weather strip down to under the steering wheel and then to the USB port. Quite clean. |

QUOTE(bgoh82 @ Aug 9 2019, 10:49 AM) Gotta a question though, did you route the wires across the A pillar? I read this way it blocks the air bag deployment and the proper way is to remove the pillar and to run it along with the other wires, making sure its not blocking the airbag Not sure what you mean. From the headliner, it goes to the top of the a-pillar (the one my finger pointing at). Then from there goes under the door weather strip all the way down to the side stepper.Don't think it blocks the airbag that way. |

QUOTE(bgoh82 @ Aug 9 2019, 03:53 PM) The photo below is a cx5 and you can see the airbag location at the A pillar. If we were to just tuck the wire across the A-pillar it might be across the air bag. Not sure if it's the same for m3 though (the arrows were suggestion from a post on how to pack the wires to avoid the airbags) I didn't go across the airbag. I went above the A pillar then into the weather strip. I went above it like the arrow in my pics below ![]() ![]() This post has been edited by bleeper: Aug 9 2019, 06:28 PM |

QUOTE(bgoh82 @ Aug 10 2019, 11:32 AM) Hi guys, I’m noticing this behaviour with the climate control when in auto mode for the new m3 2019. It seems like it’s taking outside temp consideration for its algorithm? I noticed that when outside temp is above 30C, I can set 20C for the auto air cond and it is cold enough. But when outside temp is below that, say 28C in the morning, 20c is not as cold. I have to lower it to maybe 18c for the same effect. Had my first 1k service, everything was reported ok. Anyone noticing similar behaviour? Yes. I noticed this too even when not using auto mode. |

QUOTE(Brotherjoe @ Dec 22 2019, 07:55 PM) https://www.autoblog.com/2019/12/20/mazda3-...rgency-braking/ I’ve experienced this a few times already.Does this only affected US M3 or global M3? I believe the parts and software should be identical. |
