I have a first-gen Mazda CX-5 CBU unit. The noise comes from the front suspension bushings.I made complain to Bermaz and they told me Mazda acknowledged this issue and have an internal service note to fix this by replacing the bushings. I had mine changed together with my regular service. This was some time ago. After they changed the bushings, no more sound. Therefore, do check with your service center.
*
how many KM youve managed currently without any noise after the parts have changed.
normally for m3 only sound on wet rainy days. and mine only made the sound after 20k km of usage.

My car is scheduled to replace this in the up coming week.
Also the same mileage, around or reaching 20k km you will notice the noise :|

They really should sort this, embarrassing as the Koreans and other car makes dont have this noise.
*
not even my 15yo vios is doing this kind of thing.
but then again they dont say its god car for nothing. biggrin.gif

hi im planning to get a 2nd hand 2015 Mazda 3, 45k-50k mileage, RM78k.
wish to know more about what is the average maintenance cost after the free 3 years/60k km service and maintenance program has finished, for owners of more than 3 years any major problems so far? do u recommend buying the used mazda 3 at this price?
*
so far for me the better bet than altis/civic in terms of sporty driving, looks and feel.
good for young couple or single. family man with kids to carry around perhaps altis better as roomier and more comfy.

so far after 1 year / 30k km milleage no major problem accept the famous kruk sound when rainy day and brake problem squeaky sound but that is just my luck as no other forumer have shared the same problem here.

fuel milleage is good for long distance travel managed 6-7L/100km
but be wary of short distance/stop go travel as i can be quite thirsty 9-12l/100km.

cant share much of maintenance cost as still under free service. but i suspect its gonna be expensive
i estimate for myself around 2-3k per year or 30k km.
car need fully oil , parts and service workshop other than bermaz are few who can handle the 3.

The Squeaky brakes only noticeable during traffic jams, have learned to live with it  biggrin.gif
*
ohmy.gif i tot am the only one.
when depress brake nyit /nyot sound right. like some old 80`s car.
well i live with it for 1 year already.still annoys that with an infotainment that good looking
some pre colonial squeaky car sound still exist.

Hi all, wanna ask for opinion.
*
2016 Mazda 3 (pre facelift) high spec. Mileage 100k+- priced at 73k. Is this a good price to get?
a bit pricey if your ask me. better find one with still free service/warranty

Besides that, would like to know
1. What is the fuel consumption for fu city drive? I'm a light foot driver.
8-8.5L/100km im quite light foot also. but racy mode can go at 9-10l/100km city drive
if normal highway easy going easily 6-7l/100km

2. Does going 110kmh on highway feel stable?
lol , the car can cruise at 160-180. for me i feel stable

3. Does taking corner feel confident with the car?
yup. especially the highspec model as tyre is bigger and wider

4. How is the maintenance like?
pricing should be more/same like civic/altis range.

5. Any common issue?
only the nyet/nyet sound from bushing when wet/rainy day.
also carbon build up as its common issue for direct injection cars.

Q: How much can u save on the 5 years Free maintenance from mazda?

Thinking of looking around for used one or display unit in Bermaz. Wondering if it's a good decision or nt.

Thanks~
*
if per10k km service youre charged around 300-400. then do the math.
btw that free maintenance is valid for 60k km old model. new one 100k km

btw from mazda

**Android Auto will be available upon o‚cial launch of service
in Malaysia.

meaning old model or new model only?

engine performance, the engine in the 2.0 Mazda3 isn't one that can belittle the 1.8 in the Altis  sweat.gif
it just sounded a bit snobbish, frankly.
*
138hp vs 168 you sure it cant belittle the altis ?

mine 220k km. I suggest checking on these and consider to replace if never been done before if you consider to prolong the ownership of
your ride. Other than that, the major parts of this car still works as charm.

1. Front and rear absorber
2. Front lower arm
3. Front and rear stabiliser link
4. Rear control arm
5. Radiator hoses (Top and bottom)
6. Thermostate (get it to replace as the spring may not as good as new)
7. Walnut Blasting - Since it is a direct injection
8. Coolant - Drain and refill
9. Aircond flushing
10. Other air filter, and cabin filters will do.
*
any failed component ? so far from overall ownership feedback of the engine its really reliable. a friend clocked 550km with no issues.
yet to overhaul his engine. and he really used and abused the car not really car guy so dont even know to check oil. all he did was sent to workshop and pay.
