
The thing works great, but now the issue is my flatmate is having trouble keeping sane because the kick is actually giving out a lot of acoustic noise, according to him it sounds like someone dribbling a basketball.
I've searched all over the net and the most promising DIY plan I have to dampen the noise passing 1 wall is by somehow attaching a bunch of towels to the wall between us, got the idea from this video:

I don't mind trying it out but towels are very expensive, even at econsave it costs at least 19.90 per piece for thick ones.
The people staying below me haven't made any complaints yet but I'll solve that issue with a DIY drum riser after I settle this wall. Any pointers?
inb4 egg cartons, they don't dampen noise; only reduce echo in a room, which I'm not setting out for.
I'm skipping practice for today and I feel worse already! Lend me your knowledge!
