AFAIK... i think intel chipsets strictly follows standards/specs(extensive validation?) = more compatibility/performance??? compared to nvidia (out of spec mods???, xfi issues) and ATI (sucky southbridge), and VIA/SIS (Value oriented, performance wise???)

Intel will still be stuck with FSB in 2008. smile.gif

Personally looking forward to HT3, which i think is a much more elegant design.

No. IIRC, Intel will be implementing CSI (Common System Interface) on their upcoming Nehalem architecture by 2008.

Hmm....Eaglelake. I thought it is formerly known as Bearlake.

Anyway, PCI-E 2.0 with 2*16 layout. That means a maximum of 32 lanes per connection which translates to 16GB/s of bidirectional bandwidth?

No, it's still 16 lanes for each slot. But twice the bandwidth per lane. It's still fully backward compatible with pci-e 1.0 devices.

am2+ features HT 3.0 which is faster then current HT speeds and a few others....am2 cannot put in am2+ socket, but am2+ can put in am2 socket.

Of course not. They just upped the version number so they can sell it for a higher price.

A lot of review and article already came that discuss Quad Core, ATI R600, ATI chipset, for month. But till now, only the ATI chipset is available, while where is the rest? What AMD waiting for? Why AMD don't think about those AMD supporter. I think they are waiting for AMD release their new product for long long time already....

Oh god i just realized someone linked to THAT article. My brain automatically blocks out [H] links because they are so bad.

This time i decide to click after 2 years of ignoring them. And guess what? Nothing has changed. KB is still as stupid as ever, but he writes as if he knows what's going on. And yes, people actually believe he knows his stuff. LOL.

That whole article is just one big rant. As usual.

Well sorry for believing in [H]. I just find it interesting to read. Can you come up with a more interesting article than that ? I'd love to read it because i'm sure you know everything more than God does.

Nothing against you personally, if i didn't know better i'd say it's an interesting read too. And no, i don't know more than God, but certainly i know more than KB lol. Just read the article, he's just ranting against the people who proved him wrong in the beginning, and in the middle he's a mad AMD fanboi. He's obviously having some trouble reconciling the fact that his beloved AMD bought the ATI abomination.

I could not bring myself to read to the end, but here's my state of the [H] union: it's not much smarter or more insightful than the beginning or the middle.
