Hello All,

I came across this shop called Perniagaan Jam May May and plan to buy one of the g shock watch. I understand that the shop has been running the business for 20 years or so and claims that all units are 100% original. However, I find the price difference between what is offered in the shop and those in official g shock outlets to be quite a big gap and I was also informed by the shop that I can only bring the watch back to them for warranty claims and not other official g shock outlets. This made me question if the parts sold are in fact genuine.

Anybody here got experience buying watches from the shop and can comment on the authenticity?

shld be ori. cheap because they did not take from original Malaysia distro. which means they import themselves or thru some agent lor.

i bought a casio girl watch, not from them, but a seller from lelong.com for RM109 only whereas Aeon is selling for RM199.00.

just beware maybe when ur watch got problem they dont replace with ori parts. thats all.

so conclusion: cheap watch buy online, expensive watch buy from well known shop lor.

Yes already did. Shop owner didn't explain much except that he confirms the units are original.

I certainly hope so. It's still an authentic original unit at the very least.

Thanks for sharing buddy! Yes I would have bought from the original outlet just to be safe but the price difference is very significant for the model I want. I read online that the price of the model is supposedly to be somewhere as advertised from the perniagaan jam may may. Not too sure if the original outlet are marking up the price like crazy or this shop does indeed sell genuine products.

Just pakai dont worry.

Gshock by the time it rosak, can throw away get another one liao since even the authorised distri also wont have parts to support when it happens. - personal experience.

Bought numbers of watches from them already okay lah the price cheaper than other shop but you’ve to quote price from their website so they know you’ve surveyed from their website as price displayed at shop usually more expensive ( this one I think to trick customer who just come and buy at shop without checking price at web first ).

Ayam bought 2 fossil watches last year from them. I quote the price fron the website. Take note that the price shows without gst. So have to pay more when include gst.

Thanks for sharing! Hopefully your g shock rosak after some time of good use la. I would assume that the spare parts change frequently and hence, they cannot supply. Otherwise it would be silly that they cannot import it for u.

Oh I see. I suppose you don't have any issues with the watches quality & authenticity as well as the after sales service like warranty & such?

The price of the model I'm eyeing is still much lower before gst as compared to the price offered in original outlet...

Not hopefully, already happened. 10yrs old g-shock. The display lcd on mine spoiled starting from year 8. Just a simple replacement of lcd and the watch can run for another 10years, but no more spare parts. Even casio japan also cannot help.

And to think they advertise g-shock as tough long lasting watch, they cant even support 10 years parts stock supply. Similarly priced Mechanical watch no issue with spare parts 10-20 years down the road can service and repair. Such a shame to the g-shock name.

Yeah I'm aware of that. The price difference between this shop and original outlet is still quite significant even after gst...

but the price is a bit on the high side.

Nope. Once chronograph function of my fossil watch stop functioning, send to them and now it's as good as new. But idk lah about casio as I only bought seiko and fossil from them.

Yeah true. Their prices seem to be marked up sky high. Cashing in on their exclusive original distributor status...

Yeah, guess it's a risk one has got to take to buy from the non original distributor.

the worst part, casio/gshock not taking any legal action on the domain name .......they can simply hire IP lawyer and most of the thing can be solve, but they leave it there with their own announcement .....

bought my wife's gshock there, so difficult to find and it comes with 1.5 years warranty from Marco, good leh

the so-called unauthorized website looks more genuine than the real one
