Very good read:
https://www.macrumors.com/guide/iphone-x-fa...peeds-compared/

In summary, only 10% time difference between iPad charger and 29W charger. The 29W can only charge iPhone at a max of 18W. Way overpaying to utilize only some of the wattage(6W difference)

As tempted as I am to get a faster charger for about 400+-, this is the reason why I don’t bother.. tbh completely with everyone and myself, especially myself, I don’t utilise the wireless charging myself even.

I mean, to each it’s own... some people want to get it, it’s their money and choice, they may have their reasons, like cheap and expensive casings all have their market, chargers too, so it’s not like there’s right or wrong I feel la, haha.

But personally, I’ll only buy it if I feel that I need it, for now I don’t so it’s not in my list of things to buy or look out for.

The fast charging is nice to have though, on some days when I’m running out of time when I’m really busy haha

Since we are at the topic of chargers.. will using this car charger harm my phone battery? It gets a bit warm when charging, and it’s quite fast also, I usually just put my phone at the air con vent so it gets cool down quickly haha

Guys, I know it’s been asked countless times about chargers-

Which wireless chargers are good to our phones? I’m gonna use it for overnight charging, so slow is fine to me. I’ve seen morphie nilkin etc 7.5W or 5W etc I’m very confused. Can a slow charger also become a fast chargring charging pad?

ALL, yes i mean ALL of the wireless charger doesnt offer "fast charging" "fast charge feature" "charges fast"

it goes somewhere along these lines:

the normal charger that comes with your iphone
wireless charger
ipad charger
fast charger(the super fucking expensive one, which requires usbc->lightinng cable also)

the ranking is as above.

anyway if you're looking for wireless charger, most of them do the same job, just different price point, if you have the money obviously i will suggest got for belkin, but as said again, all of them do the same job.. so yeah..

How much is a Belkin one?

Don’t know buddy. Haven’t tried.

Incidentally, can this be used to charge my phone over night? Will it explode?

don't think it will explode.... but it wouldn't cut off the charge like cable would.... so it'll continue to charge even after 100%..... in long run it'll harm your battery (reducing its life span)..
*
Damn, thought it can be used to charge over night. Someone said this is a slow charger right? Slower than the wall plug given with the phone in the box?

QUOTE(attw @ Dec 14 2017, 02:42 PM)
Nice! How much is it? Do share your review of it.

Will report back in a few days. I got it for 359, it’s the last unit

u can still use it overnight.... if u don't bother much about the battery life span, a lot of people charge overnight anyways..

yes the one that comes in the box is 5W... u get about 35% an hour..... the wireless one should be slightly lesser..
*
Erm the wireless one says it’s 7.5W eh? Let me send them an email and see if this one auto cuts off when full.

I don't think any wireless charger auto cuts off per full charge.. best do some research, sometimes those staffs might not even know sweat.gif

I think it does. I clicked on the Apple store US and looked through the comments and review for the Belkin boost up wireless charger and this is what the others have to say.

Hmmm try to get more reviews, if I didn’t remember wrongly there were a few here who mentioned when they wake up from sleep the phone is still heating and it’s warm..

It shouldn't be...

https://www.apple.com/shop/question/answers...UFUFKFUK9JPYKXF

So basically our phone cuts if off automatically when full.

But, found another one that says it's apple's problem. Other brands are ok.
