Machines and Mac city probably have the widest network, but I've read sometime back that Switch has the best services. Don't know, it's subjective I guess.

QUOTE(sonypshomer @ Nov 27 2017, 10:04 AM) Exactly, some telcos are subsidizing more than RM2K from the phone original price. It's not that simple. Some prefer to go for lower tier plans to save on phone bills (rather than taking a higher plan for which they do not utilize just for the subsidized phone) or some are on existing contracts, etc.Only those who are rich but not smart will buy from apple store / machine / switch and whatnot. Of course, there are those who can afford to just buy outright but that doesn't make them less smart either. |

Both are only valid if you buy from them.Of course, there are those who can afford to just buy outright but that doesn't make them less smart either. Not all wants to be tied on a 24mths contract, and not everyone has a clean plan without existing contract...Only those who are rich but not smart will buy from apple store / machine / switch and whatnot. |

QUOTE(sengkin95 @ Nov 29 2017, 06:55 AM) Switch's protection plan is only valid for one year, whereas Machines' extends the warranty period by another year, hence granting a total of 2 years. Correct me if I'm wrong Yea, Machine extends another year but Switch's PP covers theft/burglary which is quite convenient if it were to happen *touchwood* Price difference is 400 bucks if I'm not mistaken. So if you take 2 years on Switch is almost the same as Machines but Machines offers free screen replacement which is better since you have a higher chance to crack your screen instead of a theft. Depends on what you think could happen to your phone |

Depends on what you think could happen to your phone I personally went for the Machines Protection Plan because at the time, the possibility of being robbed wasn't something I had in mind. Instead, I was just insuring myself from future drops and other mishaps that could happen to my iPhone X |

I have a higher chance of dropping my phone than getting mugged. |

Is it better to buy through apple authorised resellers like Machines, or go through official apple.com store ?
