Just to add, why don't we be realistic here. I could go on to say I'll buy nuclear warheads and launch them at stadiums of rival clubs but that's just nonsensical. Let's keep it real mates.

Nearly 1% extreme: I'm going to the CL semi next week despite having to do my revisions for my summer exams. Mind you I've studied very little by the time of posting wink.gif
You got bloody tickets or you relying on the touts? Or you just going to be at the Albert or someplace close? Darn... it's going to be a blast.

I am guaranteed the tickets for the semifinal but not knowing where I'll be seating. I'm gonna sort it out tomorrow as the ticket sales start tomorrow. I've got all home CL matches on my fancard including the qualifiers so CL won't be a problem for me to get tickets. On the other hand the Premiership is difficult to get one.

Buying from touts is the easy way to get a ticket but you have to prepare a lot of money for it. A friend of mine sometimes bought tickets from touts, surprisingly it can be cheaper than the face value.
Well bring a camera and take some pictures for us. If you can take a vid cam with you man. I want to hear The Kop roar when we win rclxms.gif I still remember watching The Kop roar the last time we beat them in the Champions League semis. Think you can get if off youtube. Definition of "a wall of sound".

here's one. me n me mates were at the mamak for CL final where we won it **** and * times!..oh, anyway, when we were down by 3, i got so angry i smack the chair so hard it broke ( due to some lalang milan fans, chanting "alaaa, tak fight pon") after we won it...i pretty much went looking for them (repeat). them got lost. i lost my mind smile.gif

erm...other than that, FA cup final, where we tease west ham and other "lalang" fans out loud, till the inter city firmers, well, lets just say i can see tears in their eye.

and erm, the latest was...liverpool v united. i got so pissed of by one fans' celebration, i pretty much scolded him for celebrating - till the chair he was sitting hit my knee hard while him jumping and stuff (i kept my kop identity hidden). senseless...things i do.

Am i qualified to be a Kop? hahahaha!
Err dude, doesn't beating up other fans for celebrating make you a sore loser? I mean you'd celebrate if we won the Champions League again, won't you?

Well maybe it's the manner of the celebration but sometimes you just have to learn to take it all in. I have no issues with the manner people celebrate, just as long as I know they aren't glory hunters.

well actually not a sore loser to say. i was just annoyed the fact that he didnt actually look how small the space it was. i was with a bunch of mancs FRIENDS FYI.

i'd celebrate anything to do with liverpool mr. duke...and no, i dont beat people up. i'm an arguing type of a person, if u get me wrong at that, its all love.

if provoked at, wont you react too? telling stories like this, yea, people can say "urgh, relax dude", but understand is not the same as feelin it...being there, at least.

last but not least, to clear things a bit, when you say, learn to take it all in? i've been around with a handful of friends who are united fans for some time, and yes i do know how to take it all in..

its all love people. peace biggrin.gif
I usually watch matches in pro Liverpool pubs. On a couple of occasions though I have watched games at Modesto's (Chelsea supporters club, and we were playing Chelsea) and Legends Bar (with a group of mancs, most of whom I did not know), so I know what it's like to be in a 'hostile' environment, it sucks to lose. It does get to me seeing their smug faces all filled with joy but that's part of being a fan eh? As I've mentioned, it's when I see glory hunting gloating that makes me sick to the stomach.

take off my Barca jersey then standing on the chair and waving the red blue jersey and sing Glory Glory Man United in front of >100 MU fan after Messi score 2nd goal in Rome

Wouldn't it be more tasteful if you learned a Barca song and sang that instead?

i know El Cant Del Barca (official song) and call me weirdo or whatever, i doing that for revenge (1-0 Scholes) and before the match all MU fan keep saying they will win 3-0@4-0 (i mean they put Barca one level below their team) tongue.gif and when it begin they keep singing "Glory Glory Man United" especially when Ronaldo`s early freekick and Park`s effort

p/s: i just clapping hand and screaming Goall when Iniesta`s magical moment at Bridge brows.gif

I can understand the sheer ecstacy mate. I don't particularly fancy goading myself. I'd much rather channel by joy and jubilation at my team. It's just my opinion but I think it's classier to celebrate and not resort to mocking opponents even if they mocked us first. I think it's showing that you are a step above in that sense. My 2 cents smile.gif

Some bloke that came to one of our viewings in a red Kenari has a large Liverbird emblazoned at the side of the car. Didn't take a picture though.

Real respect however should be given to those who dig into their life savings to follow their clubs especially in Europe. I once saw the story of a cabbie in Liverpool who spends his life savings on travelling Europe with the club. This it was in the "Road to Istanbul" DVD. I've a friend who bought his ticket to Istanbul during the Quarter-Final stage of the tournament, hoping that Liverpool would make is there with him. I mean it's easy for us to say that we'll save up to go to our respective meccas one day but how many actually do it? How many would forgoe buying a house or a car to visit their clubs first? How many would use up all the money they've saved for a trip there? I can't safely say I would. Thankfully my trip was free, otherwise I'd probably still not have gone.

The guy in the red Kenari with Liverbird is JonC is it?

I'm a huge fan of Arsenal, but not huge enough to throw my savings just to watch a game of football, over say, buying a new car or house. Well in life there's just too many uncertainties. One day you might need the money for your old parents medical or some shit happens you suddently regretted the decision not to save up earlier. I had the chance to visit my holy grail of Emirates Stadium this year and was planning for a good 2 years prior to 2009 but when i changed job late last year and looking at the financial turmoil, i postponed it indefinitely. Looking back now, i didnt regret the decision to hold back as true enough, i went thru a massive slash in my pay packet and im just happy to ride thru this storm now.

So guys, just don't go overkill with your football fanatism and save up for a better future.(I sound like a politician now..damn)

Nah it belonged to some other dude. JonC's ride is a little more subtle than his.

Exactly mate, practicality comes into play. It comes back again to my point that fans here can be a little too defensive. I can understand why fans in the UK hate one another with passion. It's because logic seldom comes into play when it comes to spending on/for their team. "Forget about whether or not we can afford a house, we simply must go to Instanbul!". While I don't aspire to lose all common sense, I admire their passion and dedication. Once again, it's like I've always said. I'm a fan of our fans.

You know this is something i find weird. I can never understand the fans over in Msia supporting Brazil or France or Holland or Germany. If you ever ask me which national team i support, Malaysia is the only country i would utter out. And yeah, lets not get started with the quality of football they play but bottom point is, won't it be weird if say a bunch of local French guys in France wearing Malaysia jersey jumping and shouting when Malaysia score a goal.

I'm attached to football club, not national team so naturally i don't jump and cheer when i watch national teams play. It amazes me seeing some people saying they're die hard fans of England. Shouldn't we like support our own country?
Same here mate. I mean supporting a club is one thing because there are certain values associated to clubs, a sense of identity. I personally don't get the strong emotional attachment some seem to hav with other national teams. I mean I watch the World Cup and I have my favourites, to be more specific teams with Liverpool players in them, but short of feeling sorry for the said player if they lose, I won't cry myself to sleep feeling sorry for the team.

On the issue of having dreams of staying in Liverpool or whatever, I had them as well. Thing is I don't plan to live there. The funny thing though about dreams is that because they don't appear real, we seldom do anything to realise them. We just wait and hope. What's more important than having them is to work towards realising them.

just like Adebayor running 90 yards over the Arsenal supporter side and celebrate it, do u know those supporter could run down in group and beat him up and possibility he will be end up in hospital with serious injury?
The same could be said for Gary Neville who has been embroiled in goading incidences twice, most recently being against Man City. Mourinho did the same at Anfield. It's easy to lose self control in such emotionally charged situations. Same goes for being a fan. Everyone has their limits and as tame as an individual may be, he'll lose all sense of logic and control at some point if pushed far enough. I can't say I don't get angry when I see rival fans taking the piss which is why I do my best to watch Liverpool games in the presence of only Liverpool fans. While acting out of emotion should not be condoned, I think it can be expected.
