Ya, last week already kena poisoned by F2.8 Tamron and SB800.

Trade in kit lens can get how much?
*
If trade in your kit lens, 18-135mm, it just cost bout RM400-500. Better sell it in garage sales here!

retiring two of my guitars to join the dark side.

if its sold then i getting tamrom 18-70 and sb800...

*
Tamron 18-70? Or are you refering to Tamron 17-50mm? If can, better get the flash first.
Just my 2 cents! icon_rolleyes.gif

Ah,i forgot to mention. Mine came with 18-70 kit lens.

I'm referring to tamron 17-50mm. Flash is more important that the lens?

I'm still undecided whether sb600 or sb 800.
*
18-70mm is a good kit lens though its cheaper than the 18-135mm. If you just get the D80 kit not long, I suggest you fully utilize it first before changing lens so fast. Just my 2 cents! icon_rolleyes.gif

Flash will help a lot for fill-in flash and also in low-light condition. If you are undecided between sb600 or sb800, try read few pages before this, we are dicussing bout it also. icon_rolleyes.gif

Me too know how to play guitar a bit, but just kapok guitar only! laugh.gif
Build-in flash are too harsh when flash directly to the subject.

i also still playing with my 10years old kapok. but most of time my kapok only colecting dust from my D80 when i using blower to clean up my camera hehe.
pop up flash not enuf. for better result flash gun is needed. means better lighting control, allow u more creative, for the bounce capability and many more. If money not an issue sb800 is the best.
*
Wah, 10 years already! Mine just 7 years only, now also collecting dust in my room at my hometown! laugh.gif

Yes, flash gun also can swivel left and right and up, very useful when using your camera vertically and horizontally! icon_rolleyes.gif

This 2 I find it quite essential.

I got mine in 2 months using the cam.
*
Not yet for me though. I prefer bringing an extra bettery than adding the battery grip, as I'm not a frequent shooter and its much more lighter that way. icon_rolleyes.gif

For that money, you'll get to handle your camera easily when shooting potraits vertically! There's always pros and cons! icon_rolleyes.gif
