It's much more pratical to get two battery first unless you're using it for Portrait shots.  tongue.gif
Seems that your line there pretty slow or maybe getting more post count ?  tongue.gif  laugh.gif
*shhs , i do that sometimes either.  laugh.gif

Added on June 25, 2007, 8:10 pmMostly all shots i'm using manual , any tips on this ?

I can't seems to have the correct ISO , Shutter speed , Aperture , and WB.
Most of the times after tweaking , the picture will turn out too dark.

I use 1/100 , f5 , WB-Auto , Iso 100-200.  sweat.gif
Today is my birthday , where's my present all Nikonians ?
18-200mm Vr or SB-600 speedlight is enough.  brows.gif  brows.gif  laugh.gif

Wish you have a great day... You bought ur D80 as your bday present eh.. biggrin.gif

I agree with calvin_gsc, maybe you need to use A mode first, set the aperture, let the camera set the speed for you. After that you can start leaning the exposure setting (speed, aperture, ISO, etc)

I wanna share my experience, first time when i get my dslr, I use A mode, then starting from that I begin to understand what's the different in aperture, then playing with exposure compensation and ISO. Nowadays i still use A mode, but for some event like indoor event (I don't have external flash) I prefer to use M coz A mode will sometimes fail to exposure, mostly turn out too dark. biggrin.gif sometimes even use manual focus. ( my favorite lens are nikon 50mm F1.8 & tamron 90mm F2.8) that 2 lens for me is my best lens for low light indoor event. ( I can't afford to buy 70-200mm F2.8 yet.) tongue.gif
btw, for indoor event mostly I use ISO400, aperture vary from largest aperture (F1.8 or F2.8) to max f4. Speed also vary from 1/20 - 1/80 depend on situation. tongue.gif

yea i'm Tamron 90mm user and also sigma 10-20mm user thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

tamron is very sharp.. not only for macro, but I use it also on low light event. good for close up also.

sigma 10-20mm has the widest focal length, really nice playing with it.. half fisheye effect, also I don't need to use cpl to make the sky more blue, the characteristic of the lens itself already more the sky more blue.. nice to use on InfraRed photography also thumbup.gif notworthy.gif

Hey nice picture there, You're using tamron 90mm for that flies macro shot ?

Price for the tamron 90mm and 10-20mm too.  brows.gif
*
the first 2 pic use tamron 90mm and the rest use 10-20mm.

tamron 90mm about rm1395, sigma 10-20mm about rm2375 now. (according to shashinki.com)

I bought the tamron 90mm Rm1350, & sigma 10-20mm about Rm1800. Dunno why the sigma 10-20mm price increase, same price as sigma 12-24mm.. doh.gif luckly I have bought it..

bought my sigma last december at Indonesia.. that time also this lens price is cheaper in indonesia compare with malaysia price.

but tokina 12-24mm price that time is more expensive in indo compare with malay.

I don't bother about warranty though.. as long as the first time I receive the lens it doesn't have any problem, then its ok.

btw, I believe my lens is NOT shop warranty. its either Indonesia warranty or international warranty. (unfilled warranty)

Your kitlens also can do a bit if you took the proper subject, but this 10mm superwide can do more fisheye effect.. smile.gif
btw, I like your 50mm + close up filter shoots.. nod.gif

here's a shoot using my sigma 18-125mm @ 27mm brows.gif
taken at SS15 subang jaya.

How does the Nikon VR 18-200 perform optically. I'm currently thinking of changing my current lens Tamron 28-75 2.8. This lens lack of wideangle.
*
If you feel lack of wide angle, get the 17-35mm F2.8 whistling.gif thumbup.gif

its much better than changing to 18-200mm VR. u have to use smaller aperture for it.. means no more F2.8 nod.gif
