my set is Global Stable ROM, OTA to 9.2.6.0 no issue. now my problem is failed to unlock bootloader. already read the FAQ and follow the steps, my account already applied unlock and permission already granted by sms notification. now stuck bind account & device. error 86006. some said, VPN to China, various of choices tested, no luck. some said stable ROM are not allow, but I check official download, there is no newer development rom, older version of development rom are not allow flash. any solution? when MIUI 10 developer ROM gonna release?

no, you get my wrong. physically still haven't unlock. just submit online for request and approved only for my mi account. my current version is Global 9.2.6.0, China dev ROM are older, failed to downgraded. any solution bedside test point?

as I read from other sources, ebl already blocked by xiaomi for current or newer models, only way is test point, which I put it as last resort, or avoid it if can.

Redmi 5 have infrared blaster. Another different is build material, plastic vs. aluminum, for frame, end & back.

Phone is huge, the included plastic case helps
Miui may not be for everyone
The process to unlock its bootloader is fkin ridiculous

Tested Waze, all works fine, connect to server get live traffic no issue.


My first over night used 5%, only wifi connected. Second time, drop 2%. Let's see if can improve only drop 1%.

look like same version like mine, 2 pin plug. come with global 9.2.4.0 (if remember correctly), already successfully update to 9.2.6.0.

is the phone able to enter fastboot? with bootloader locked really handicap.... really no idea what we can do, sorry.

please share your purchased tempered glass photo. mine coming from seller's optional bundled offer are damn bad halo effect. looking for better 1, is Full Coverage Tempered Glass good?
