china rom still have language option on first boot up. So I select English, use as normal. But floated with many china bloatware which I hate, and no play store. MIUI forum have tutorial how to install Google play services, pretty easy.

my recommendation for stock, for LOS based is CrDroid, for AOSP is AEX. hybrid from both with tons of feature pack, go for RR.

although I'm coming from my old nexus oreo to R5+ nougat, patiently wait for more stable Oreo. once kernel source code release, will be more fun.
