I was informed by the SA that the cigarette port which situated in the front is just a frame and cannot function. We need to go out to accessories shop to fix the 12v into it before it can function

Wtf, like that also can kah??? Later we do it outside, they say void warranty coz we are messing with the wiring.

How old are your kids? Do they need to sit child car seats? Rear facing or forward facing for the child car seats?

4 yr old - front facing

1 month old - rear facing

this two take more space than anyone else...

also need to factor in that 1 child should be with 1 adult...

so ideally it would be the 1st row - 2 adults, 2nd row - 1 adult with rear facing car seat, 3rd row - 1 adult with forward facing car seat - i guess

I see.. Yes, your sitting arrangement plan would be the most ideal. Just that both of your child car seats would be placed at the right side.
I am also considering this mpv coz i wana fit 3 adults and 3 toddlers with child car seats (2 rear facing and 1 front facing).

If only they included an isofix in the 3rd row like Kia Carnival...

Also a pain is that my isofix car seat is for the 4 yr old although it is compatible with seat belt only use it is easier to use with isofix, but 3rd row no isofix sad.gif

Although isofix is not the only way it makes it so much easier....

Most of the third row dont have isofix. U wont always take out the child car seats, right?
Even though my car have isofix but i dont use it coz it uses more space. Not to mention the isofix weight limitation pf child car seat is usually lower than belt. U also need to check the car's isofix weight limitation.

Would be nice if the car reviewers in malaysia like PT or bobby ang did a video on the best MPVs for family with kids and included a review on fitting car seats in their car reviews...

After all wasn't car seats supposed to be mandatory in 2019 or something?

Well I did that... because when I go to test a car I will usually bring the family along to fill up the seats... and so that my daughter the 4 yr can seat in the test car safely I will install the car seat. smile.gif

If you really need to fit 3 full size child seats in a row, apart from the car, you’d also need to factor in the child seat selection. From my previous research, the slimmest seats around at that time 2 years back was the Maxi-Cosi Rodifix AP. They have variants for both isofix and belt mounted. On my previous X5, 2nd row with 2 Rodifix AP could fit a full size adult in the middle so I’d assume 3 in a row is possible.

3rd row with isofix is near impossible or rare to find. Even BMW did not have that due to the complexity of the mechanism to fold seats and maintain isofix at the same time. Best advise to the OP, easier to just get a belt mounted seats for the third row. In 2-3 years time your kids may be moving to booster seats which doesn’t even need isofix anymore.

I’ve just popped into Nissan Glenmarie in the afternoon to settle off all payment and saw the actual car there. Quite pleased with it, hopefully it would drive reasonably ok. Would encourage those on the fence to pop in and have a look to decide for yourself.
