Hi All,

Is anyone able to provide some advice if it is worth taking the 3 year/60k service package for the C27?
I tried to pull the service record costs for Serena, but unable to view online as the site is down.

If u think it's nice then it's worth it.

For some like me, the basic spec is the better choice. Spend the extra 10k or 16k yourself with better quality choices outside compared to the ones included in Premium version. e.g. Thinkware dashcam, 3M tints with ur preferred VLT, better rooftop monitor & android player, etc.

You mind sharing with me the contacts and costs for those upgrades that you had done? Particularly for the rooftop monitor, tint and dashcam.

3M Crystalline CR20 all windows except windscreen CR40 - RM2.5k at Autofilm Concept Cheras (3M Authorized Dealer)

Thinkware X700 Dashcam - RM1.5k with installation at Sicurez Sunway (Thinkware Authorized Dealer) <---these guys are great & very professional

Rooftop monitor & android player - surveyed around for about RM2k for both, but in the end didn't install them as most are 'generic' brands. plus, I want to listen to my music while driving instead of listening to whatever movies that are being watched. Ended up buying two Samsung Galaxy Tab A for my two kids and just stick them at headrest. works great too as my kids' movie preference arent alike.

I think the only 'upgrade' that I adore from the Premium version is the leather seat, which I managed to convince my wife isn't worth it. hmm.gif

Anyone notice the captain seat's arm rest is kind of badly designed?
Found below when i went to show room today:
- the arm rest is pretty thin and hardly able to rest the arm on it even for my wife which is 1.62m and 50kg.
- the arm rest lowest angle is odd especially when you decline and lay back the seat, your arm is like hanging high up due to the arm rest not able to go lower.

Strongly request TCM to give us back the 8 seaters config or make a better captain seat's 7 seater config!

agreed on the bad design of arm rest. over time, you'll get used to it. beggars cant be choosers right.. sweat.gif

if u still havent booked the serena yet, suggest u to join any serena facebook group & observe what other things people complain about. e.g. roof monitor can only play videos using thumbdrive with specific video format only, low pickup/torque, noisy engine, not stable on highway if there's crosswind, poor sound insulation, no spare tyre provided, etc.

for me, the car is worth it for its price despite these tiny issues. unless u want to go the other route which is recon alphard/estima.

Thanks for the info, think Serena is one of the best option in market with a little imperfection. icon_rolleyes.gif
I love the 8 seaters config with more flexibility.... ranting.gif really hope TCM can put it back in next update

Any shop to recommend that installs the spare tyre bracket?

Within PJ or Subang/Sunway area if possible.

Try to look for Amos Lim at fb, I think most people in SHOC group installed their set at his workshop. Sorry but not sure his location & price.

I tried asking TC service center for this, cost RM2986 with installation. Then tried surveying around for separate tyre & bracket kit, and this guy brought me year 2000+ tyre, lol.

Please share once you've installed yours.

Hi, I've read through the thread and noticed ppl mentioned that service package is worth to take. But may I know what is included and not included? Brake pad, wheel bearing, air filter, aircond service, engine mount included??

We recently booked for premium with 3 year warranty.
