Rooftop monitor & android player - surveyed around for about RM2k for both, but in the end didn't install them as most are 'generic' brands. plus, I want to listen to my music while driving instead of listening to whatever movies that are being watched. Ended up buying two Samsung Galaxy Tab A for my two kids and just stick them at headrest. works great too as my kids' movie preference arent alike.

I think the only 'upgrade' that I adore from the Premium version is the leather seat, which I managed to convince my wife isn't worth it. hmm.gif

Found below when i went to show room today:
- the arm rest is pretty thin and hardly able to rest the arm on it even for my wife which is 1.62m and 50kg.

Strongly request TCM to give us back the 8 seaters config or make a better captain seat's 7 seater config!

agreed on the bad design of arm rest. over time, you'll get used to it. beggars cant be choosers right.. sweat.gif

if u still havent booked the serena yet, suggest u to join any serena facebook group & observe what other things people complain about. e.g. roof monitor can only play videos using thumbdrive with specific video format only, low pickup/torque, noisy engine, not stable on highway if there's crosswind, poor sound insulation, no spare tyre provided, etc.

for me, the car is worth it for its price despite these tiny issues. unless u want to go the other route which is recon alphard/estima.

Try to look for Amos Lim at fb, I think most people in SHOC group installed their set at his workshop. Sorry but not sure his location & price.

I tried asking TC service center for this, cost RM2986 with installation. Then tried surveying around for separate tyre & bracket kit, and this guy brought me year 2000+ tyre, lol.

Please share once you've installed yours.

Only compulsory items that u need to do during normal service at SC.

The package price is different depending on what mileage u take it. e.g. price for 10k-40k is different compared to 20k-50k & so on. Why? If the package u take overlaps with major service, it'll be higher priced, but still saves some money instead of going ala-carte.

Yup I believe so, if we reject the offer normally SA will add rebate RM2k.

However, you can add-on this later even after you have purchased your car. But the add-on package available is only for 2 years interval (mostly around ~RM2k I think, can't recall).

Based on this package cost difference & also comparing it with ala-carte price, it is definitely worth it to take the free service option when purchasing the car (subject to other rebates given by your SA).

Can post price here & tyre spec (size & year) please? Normally other sellers who sell spare tyres only have no idea what is the correct spec for serena spare tyre (not to mention some also very old tyre). Will be a problem when fitting it with the bracket under our car.

U won't get a definite answer here. e.g. If u read the terms & conditions for warranty, u can deduce that even changing rim & tyre at outside workshop can void the warranty.

Just to be on the safe side, try plug & play modifications, easier to revert back if there's any dispute.

For OBD, google what OBD port is intended for & what it is capable of. Do u trust that RM50 OBD adapter bought from shopee/lazada/etc.?

Just encountered the same issue today. Rear hot, front ok. Already turned off hibrid auto engine off on idle, turned on recirculation, set the temp on lowest, A/C mode on, etc.

Mind to share how you resolved it please.
