Hello. I bought an e350. I bought it in 2019 from Hap seng.

The car was only released in Malaysia in March 2019 so most probably the one you looking at is recond from somewhere overseas.

For me so far zero issues with car *touch wood*. Maintenance free under promo but it’s not that much too if pay. Around 1-2K a year. Shouldn’t be an issue if can afford Mercedes

The new one more expensive because 2019 they brought most of the s class safety features to this car. Only e class with autopilot and most of the safety features. One of the few at that time with a real radar based safety system. I booked it so bloody fast 😂😂

I only experienced the safety systems once when a motorcycle rear ended me, before he hit the car applied full brake ( I was stopped but only braking lightly ) and pulled me into my seat

After crash my car just small scratch

AEB also prevented many collisions especially when I’m changing temperature and not paying attention

Hi, care to share your experience with e350 after two years of driving. Pros and cons. Many thanks.

Hello! So far I’m still very happy with the car!!

I think one of the best pros has to be the safety systems, they are truly world class.

I used to have an X5 too, suspension kept giving errors and the headlights of the X5 we too high and narrow. Driving in the Mercedes like I’ve been given a new set of eyes.

Car has always had a weird breathing sound when in idle, Mercedes’ said it’s the normal sound of the coolant pump and it’s not an issue unless you sit in extended periods of time in the car without music or ac turned on.

I think the only problems I’ve had with the car are to do with the tyres. I live in Petaling Jaya and when we first got the car, within 2 weeks of normal driving on Jalan university and the front tyres were bloated and needed replacement. Kept happening many times and after the 5th replacement my uncle recommended we over inflate the tyres, so far no issue since then.

I really really recommend anyone getting the car to please take Mercedes’ tyre and rim insurance, it’s almost impossible to add on after the tyres have been damaged. I didn’t know you need to buy the tyre from cnc or hap Seng if want to be eligible, even if it exact same tyre.

Black gloss rims are a demon to keep clean though, even with my ceramic coating the rims are full of brake dust after even one drive

Other than that, there is a bit of turbo lag when driving on 95 and 97, Ron 100 Petron fixes the issue but I’ve only filled up 100 when the petrol prices crashed during the pandemic last year. I have an S60 too and it’s much more responsive as it’s battery assisted.

Overall I love the car, seats are wonderful, driving is comfortable and effortless with the self drive modes, you just feel so safe. Screens are so big and clear, sound system is awesome and bassy and interior lights are very beautiful at night.

You won’t regret, enjoy !

Any issue with The eq boost 48v battery so far? Cost 13k to replace without warranty.

Nope zero issues. Car has no problems so far. Mercedes also has an extended warranty programme if you are afraid of after warranty issues
