Anyone knows where to send mercedes for engine overhaul? Around Klang Valley?

Car engine is consuming engine oil and having very bad FC. I heard fuel injector have to be changed too because after prolonged use, the head of the injector will be bigger, thus more petrol flow.

Hmmm talking about that, are there any serious issue with the older C class between 94-97?

Anybody have the figure for avg FC on C200 (94-97 version)?

How much will that cost?
Any half cut shops in Klang Valley that keep mercedes engines?

I will only go C&C when there is a major issue or when my 6th sense tells me that the workshop is not experience enough to handle.

Just ordered my sports chrome grill from ebay today.
I'm searching for Bi-Xenon HID and planning to order the Mercedes Keyless Ultrasonic Alarm upgrade kit.

My next in the list upgrades will be: 17" AMG Sports Rim, Projector Ion Head Lamp. Any comments?

Conti cars still are the best to drive. I never had any ECU problem before with conti Merc. Just that it's getting more and more expensive to maintain as parts are lacking.

Newer Mercs qualities sores... that's why i still stick to my trusty model smile.gif

That's what I called, Smoky!

Of course BWM looks better, but Mercs have cheaper parts and less maintainance smile.gif

ahaks, convert ur new c class to v12 turbo engine with 700+hp and 1000Nm and slap some bodykit! lolz!
merc look old so u choose merc? u wanna look old ? u oredi old?

Hahaha... that what she says to me.

Dear Sera, Sera... What will be, will be...

To me, it doesn't matter if it will make me look old. I love my car, and that's the only thing that matter. As long as I can smoke most of the cars on highway, it shouldn't be a problem, beesides the road tax, high fc and of course speeding tickets rclxub.gif

Nothing beats the comforts of a Merc, not even BMW can match.

asmly14, youre driving W126 right? 300SE? what year?.. 180 or so hp right?. awesome.
yeah 3 series is loosing pretty bad.
the c200k is a 1.8L engine supercharged, which produces 184PS, dats more than 100hp per litre! roadtax money well paid because of supercharger, but bmw will always produce loads of hp per litre only by naturally aspirated
*
Hmm.... smile.gif

About 190hp.

Added on December 3, 2007, 10:22 amThe real power kicks in when in mid rev, you can feel the G's.

Maintainance is very high (easily 10k/year), but once the parts are changed, it is rather durable. Parts are still easily available even thou it cost 3-5x the Proton price, but for the quality you will get, it's worth it. Never break down before in my life, the only time when it stopped is when the tyre went flat.

Awards
The W126 S-Class was a champion in the luxury car market, dominating worldwide sales during its production run. At the same time, it also achieved several awards during its production period:

Car of the Year. The W126 model 380 SE was the Wheels Magazine Car of the Year in 1981.
Safety. The W126 was awarded by the U.S. Highway Loss Data Institute as the "The Safest Passenger Car of the Year" in 1988 and 1989.[1]
Customer satisfaction. In 1987, 1988, 1989, and 1990, with the W126 S-Class leading its sales, Mercedes-Benz received the highest customer ratings in the J.D. Power Sales Satisfaction Index.[5]

[edit] Legacy
The W126 S-Class, the most successful production S-Class in history, has secured a place as one of the most well-remembered luxury vehicles--described by some as a "classic."[2] Its twelve-year production run was longer than any S-Class before or since, and following the debut of the W140 S-Class in 1991, the additional two years of production in South Africa was a testament to the W126's popularity in the export market. Although an expensive car to maintain, mostly due to the increased expense of Mercedes-Benz replacement parts, a late model W126, if properly driven, can still be a viable proposition today.[6]

Indeed. I have to agree with that article. With proper maintainance, it will last more than 20 over years. When you cruise at very high speed, even at 200+, you will feel it's very stable.

Heh... It's drinking not only water, but as if it's a coke! Heavy town crusing will take me to petrol station every 3 days (Max, and that's for light-mid footed driving style) for a full tank refill of RM 180. I would suggest to only drive it when you are going on highway, other than that, stick to C/E Class.

The one generation newer S class even has bullet proof glass. When I saw the window, i was like... sweat.gif

Anybody wanna buy Mercedes or any Cars Chrome Grill?
If so, let me know. I've made my purchase with this seller in e-bay and perhaps if any LYN members wanna buy, we can share shipping cost which will be very much cheaper.

For details, please refer to:
http://stores.ebay.com/Anzo-Industry-Inc-Grill

Full payment must be paid upfront before I proceed with order.

QUOTE(chungyinjie @ Nov 5 2009, 09:56 AM)
Hi..does anyone have news about C-class W204?
I called them the other day and they said the Avantgarde version is no longer in production. According to SA, MBM see this version as non-seller as when avantgarde being sold one unit, elegance already sold 5..but isnt it fishy?

Hmm..please comment
*
W204 200 Kompressor - Now only have Elegance RM248,888. Used to have Avantgarde.
W204 200 Kompressor SE - Elegance with Sportier Spoiler +Rm10k more
W204 230 V6 - Only available in Avantgarde, RM298,888 I think. Used to have the Command APS with Lingatronic, but not selling anymore.

Elegance is much cheaper, almost Rm50k Cheaper (200k vs 230v6). Differences:
- Sport Grill
- Alu trim
- 7G Auto Trans
- Peddle Shift
- Adjustable Sport Suspension (not airmatic)
- Chromed Fog Lamp
- 2600cc V6

Oh yea, the W204 Kompressor Elegance (and I think the C230 v6 too) doesn't come with CUP HOLDER INSERT (It's like a divider for the centre console so that you can snug cup into easily), and have to order from MB Singapore. Cost RM300+
I lashed my complaint to MB Sales Manager, hopefully can get cheaper or better, free for me.

To answer the question, the C230 will cease from Malaysia market next year. It is to differenciate the C class from the new E class (W212). C will be on Kompressor - 1794 CC with 184 bhp. Not bad what... 0-100kmh in 8.6sec, faster than kancil right? smile.gif

Added on November 22, 2009, 1:15 amThe upcoming E-class will be launch:
26th --> Mines Shopping Complex
27th --> All MB Showrooms

But only the E300 wink.gif
E200 and E250/240 only be available next year March.
Don't expect all you read on the web will be available here.. and certainly the Parktron Plus will neve be in Malaysia market (expect for the E500 or the S 55). So all the very high tech fancy spec, you can get it from Gray Market.
