Hit 10k after 5 months!
[attachmentid=10444696]
Problems faced so far (C300 2019 FL):
-Front left and right suspension out of balance (went to sc to recalibrate)
-claiming front side window glass.. still in process since Dec 2019
-was offered to get the wheel locknut (RM421), to be installed when sent to claim the glass on Dec 2019, car returned after 3 days as the claim was rejected, so they took video of the sound, but was also told, i already have the locknut so refunded the payment, but the thing is, never noticed if it was there before, i dont have the unlocker.. does that mean i cant remove the rims anymore? To change tyres or do balancing etc? Sigh..
-Squeaky motor from steering column when leaving car (the auto seat and steering move to allow driver to exit car function).. happened once.. then gone..
-Steering column malfunction sometimes, moving the electronic stalk wont move the steering position.. intermittent
-Weird sounds from suspension.. happened on one day then gone..
-too much engine oil warning.. out of the blue.. happened once then gone..

Are these problems common?

So far quite mixed feelings with this ownership.. and the after sales service..  considering to let go and get the Volvo S60 T8 instead..

Yours is pre-owned or new unit? How can there be anti-theft nuts fitted if your car is new? Plus you don't have the key to remove them. You may want to check with your SA.

Hi everyone,

My 4 years MBM warranty is nearing expiry, want to ask if the “Extended Limited Warranty” Package +2 years worth it?
I am considering the +2 years should give me some good night sleep and limit the car repair cost exposure (if touch wood) those failed the coming 2 years.
Likewise all the 3 years+ coming to 4 years have been trouble free with the car, which is a blessing.
My thought is like buying critical illness insurance obviously hoping not to kena any of those illnesses…

Appreciate some thoughts or input.

Thank you.

Care to share how much for the extended warranty? From Hap Seng Star?

The ELW package price varies based on different car model.
Mine is from C&C

Ahh...noted. Mine is the glc300 coupe, got it in 2020. I'll check with SA, likely will extend the warranty in the event if keeping the car for more than 4 years.

I bought for my GLA250 couple of years back from Hap Seng to extend warranty to 5th and 6th year. Cost me abt 3K(or 2plus...can't remember but around there la). But so far (touch wood) no issues la.
Hopefully will still be very good after the 6th year. Pretty reliable so far.

Anyone have issues with their 2015 GLA250 so far?
*
Thanks. I also owned a GLA250, bought from HSS in 2018 and sold it in end of 2019. For GLA, the only issue I have are the RFT tires which is really noisy, the sports seats are kinda stiffed. Other than that, everything is good.

Anyone went for the W206 launch? Not sure if it's the cockpit design or I am just too fat, it felt cramped inside, but gorgeous. Maybe me poorfag, not entertained by any sales person biggrin.gif

Yes. Just got back from new C300 test drive at Desa Parkcity. Personally, I find the ride a little harsh. Could be the tires are over inflated. Power delivery is very punchy. In terms of ride comfort, somehow it reminded me of my last GLA250 despite those rubbers on C300 are non-RFT. Also noted the windscreen and window panels are not using acoustic glass (CBU unit).

Exterior aesthetic is definitely very pleasing. Interior also nicely done up. This car is slightly lower thus giving u the sporty look. Heard from the SA, one family sat in the car for test drive and the underside got slightly hit when going over road bumps. Augmented navigation would be better if can display on digital cluster instead of center console LCD. This way you don't have to take ur eyes off the road which is risky.

So many people q-ing for test drive, do you know if they disinfect after each test? I a bit kiasi, will pass for now. I also got to know no corporate discount for CBU, CKD maybe, but will only come in Q4.
*
Yes, they do disinfect after each drive. Coming from GLC300 coupe, I find it hard to convince myself to get this car. Maybe I should just get back a Subaru XV as daily work horse.

I m trading in my family's 2019's A200 to either GLA 250 or GLC200.

Any commend on these 2 cars? price wise they re both "almost" the same.
*
Depends on ur usage. Married with kids? Don't expect ride comfort for GLA250 and also space can be tight for rear passenger. Had the car for a year before selling for an upgrade in 2020.

Anyone know how can I solve this issue on my window trim?

It looks cloudy with water marks.

Get cerium oxide and a buffer machine to remove them.

Could any kind soul tell me how much is the cost for A250 (2022) 3rd service and usually when & how much is the brake pad package is included?
*
Not sure about A250. A pair of brake pads for GLC coupe is around 1.3K and regular servicing rough estimate is 1.5 - 2K. You don't have service voucher? Do note these are price from authorised service center such as C&C or Hap Seng Star.
