XM so far so good.

Since fx trading is illegal in Malaysia,I have maybank Singapore bank account which I use to deposit and transfer fund because fx trading is legal in Singapore.my question is can maybank Malaysia freeze my maybank Singapore account if they found out I am trading fx?

QUOTE(fairylord @ Aug 15 2018, 12:51 AM)
So all of you have SG account to transfer in out money on fx trading?
*
Always park the money overseas because forex is illegal in Malaysia. We have to pressure the government to legalise it.
If you insist of wanting to bring the money back, you know what to do.

There are so many ways to 'cuci' the money.

1. Create a stock broking acount in Singapore. Send all your money to that account then remit the money back through the stock broking company. If BNM asks you, you can say profit from shares trading. Just hope that they won't ask for your statement.

2. Send the money from your overseas account to your friend or relatives overseas account. Then ask him to send to your Malaysian account as 'Gift'. Don't put 'Donation' please.

There are many more efficient ways but it is only worth it when you have a large sum of money.

Not sure. If it is taxable, it is best parked overseas or move to Singapore if you are making good money.

hahahhaa... as a trader bro, we must always withdraw. Depo 1 time, withdraw 10 time. If we always depo, i think, it's time to find another source to create income. Maybe career as a trader not suitable for that person.  biggrin.gif  biggrin.gif
*
Yes. If you deposit more than you withdraw then you might have a gambling habit.

Go back and do paper trading until profitable first.

Etoro is a bucket shop. You are trading against them so they won't like it if you are making money. Unless they hedge your positions.

Hi all i just starting to trade forex, and i've pick XM as my broker. As of today, is it still safe to trade with them? so much negative feedbacks on the forexpeacearmy website. Also, what do you guys suggest for the deposit and withdrawal method? Online transfer, Credit cards, or skrill/ neteller? I'm trading with a small amount first. Any recommendation and opinion will be greatly appreciated smile.gif

Hi aunty. XM is fine and with small capital should not be a problem. Use credit card as the fees are cheaper.
Are you profitable?

Just wanted to share my experience to fellow forumers here. I have been trading for about 8 years or so now. What I would say is, you have to code and test your strategies/ideas in order to know if it is profitable.

Some of them look very promising on the chart (visually), but when you code and test them, they are not profitable. I have encountered many of this situation. Another way is to forward test but it's slow because you will be testing it on live market for a duration of time. However, if your trading is discretionary, then your only choice is to forward test.

Getting a high return, above 100% (without a high drawdown) a year is quite hard. Not impossible, but hard. I am happy with my EA which generates about 30-50% a year. The longer I trade and develop strategies, the more I believe that there's no holy grail. It could exist, who knows.

Trading is simple if you can find the key to profitable trading.

I agree with you, every profitable trading systems must have its weakness.

With your experience, are you a full time trader? So far I never met a real full time trader, how is the life of a full time trader?
*
Not exactly a fulltime trader. I still do other jobs for income and my EA is fully automated so I don't really have to trade. However, I don't have a 9-5 job and I am not employed.

Hi, from your 8 years experience, which exchange is good for Msian. in terms of stability, deposit/withdrawal. what else....

From my EA experience (very very small trade), the server will always always 'kiss' my stop loss before shooting opposite direction. How do you counter that?
*
By exchange, if you meant broker, I am not aware if there's any Malaysian broker.
Go for Singapore UOB, OANDA (if you have small capital), LMAX, Dukascopy, Interactive Brokers.

If you think your broker is stophunting you, try to check the price chart with other brokers. See if they are similar.
It's normal for the price to hit your stoploss if you have a tight stop. The market follows the random walk theory.

But the situation happen long long time ago on some broker. The broker has now been taken over/changed name twice already
Feels like it's doing it, because it always touch stop loss right on the pip. And after 1 minutes price go back to normal.
EA works very very well on backtesting, then fail like crazy on real market
Just curious seeing someone using EA here, i haven't been trading for almost 10 years. Maybe will try again
*
Probably yours was a short term trading, hence smaller stops and higher spread percentage.
Mine is a little long term system, holding from days to weeks. I could easily detect if there's any manipulation from the broker.
