You raise a very good point when it comes to purchasing an insurance plan for your camera. Basically, one should be very careful when picking up a deal, and read all the terms and conditions until the last line. You know how the insurance thing is, the provider will deny his responsibility whenever possible.

I used to shoot the London suburbs back in the time when I was a happy student in the UK. Of course, some neighborhoods were quite dangerous, I did not always feel very safe. Over there, the advantage is that the camera insurance market is very competitive, and you many insurance comparison platforms allow you to choose the best deal (or the cheapest - it depends on the priorities ).

That being said, as a camera lover, I would always recommend to be properly covered, especially when travelling. That's a pity that there is no such comparator in Malaysia. But who knows, maybe one day
