I have same problem too with my laptop shutting down for no reason when on AC charger mode when under load. It turned out that it's the deteriorated battery that's the culprit when attached to laptop together with AC charger.

I don't think it's the overheat issue since gaming laptop have higher temperature threshold and can withstand internal temperature of 80-90C just fine. One thing I will suggest is when plugging AC charger to laptop, detach the battery and play games on laptop in AC-only mode.

And battery replacement maybe.
