You can try Dr. Sabbir Ahmad from Pantai Ampang for ACL Surgery. I had a completely torn acl and torn meniscus from a gym accident, went to see Dr Sabbir in Pantai Ampang Hospital after being referred by another doctor. He explained everything step by step and after doing MRI, it was found to have a torn ACL and also meniscus tears.

I did the surgery under him as i was confident with his explanation. 7 months now and i can say i have fully recovered with no pain and knee is stable and I’m back in the gym! Tqvm Dr Sabbir!

I'm not entirely sure about the cost in Pantai Hospital. Last time I did asked about quotation from Private Hospital was about 25k without MRI Scan. I ended up doing my operation in Government Hospital. They gave me 3 quotations from 3 different companies (5k, 7k, 10k). So just need to choose from these prices for the implants needed for it. I did my MRI scan already in Ireland about 200 euros. So, no need to queue for scan in Malaysia. From my first visit to my operation day was about 2 weeks only. So quite fast.

The 25k is only isolated acl injury. If mixed with other ligaments gonna cost more, like what your college had to pay. Huhu. Expensive injury

Maybe can go government. But, my suggestion if can do all the relevant scans private better do that private. Surgery can do government. Can save waiting time for scan oso.

find a doctor buddy working a hospital which has a sports team, ask him to justify getting early scan (i can get MRI in 2 mo easily by just saying the patient's livelihood is dependent upon walking + patient is very keen for surgery)

Hi guys. I had my ACL completely torn and meniscus cracked a little bit in a badminton game 3 weeks ago. It happened in Hanoi Vietnam where I live and work. The doctor here said the only way to heal my ACL is via reconstructive surgery. I'm really not sure about how good is the surgeon here and I'm considering whether I should go back to Malaysia to do the surgery. I'm really not sure how the surgery will affect my job in Vietnam.
Maybe I will lose my job here if I go back to mala for the surgery? How long do I need to stay in Malaysia in order for me to complete the surgery and rehab after surgery? Or should I just do it in Vietnam? There are so many questions now in my mind sad.gif
