Been using X for a week since it's launched last week.

Love everything on this phone. The only concern is the screen tone looks yellowish.

Some ppl comment that the notch is annoying but when u really hold the phone, the notch is not obvious at all.

I would definitely pick X over Mi Mix 2. One of the main reasons is Apple will continue to support future software updates on X over years. I don't think XiaoMi will support Mi Mix 2 for more than 2 years.

I go for 256GB but I think 64GB is enough if you don't take many videos, and make sure to delete those unwanted apps bcoz some of them occupy quite a lot of space.

I have turned off True Tone but still looks yellow/warmer than other OLED phones (compared to my OnePlus 3T), but much better than when True Tone is on.

I have compared with my brother's iPhone X, and his X also has same warm screen as mine. Compared to another X in a shop, the X screen doesn't look yellowish. When True Tone is turned on on that phone, it looks pink. It looks much yellow on my X when the True Tone is on.

Many users have this issue, not sure if this is a defect.

Read from somewhere that the stainless steel on Space Gray model is more scratch-proof than Silver model. But Silver model will be less noticeable if there is any scratch.

In Sg those Telcos will only send out the pre-order link to those who have ROI. Those who didn't ROI will not get link to pre-order and can only walk-in to try luck.

So those who are keen to pre-order better register their interest first.

Agreed that normal shoot can't really tell the difference, use portrait mode u will see the difference. OIS also much better in X.

Battery life also very good, on par with Plus model if not better.

Yes, all Touch ID changed to Face ID automatically. Have tried on Maybank app, works fine with Face ID.

But using Apple Pay is slower than TouchID. sweat.gif

TouchID = Put your phone on the reader (with finger on sensor) -> Done

Face ID = Double click side button -> Face Scan -> Put the phone on the reader -> Done

Much slower but still acceptable.

I am currently using Apple Silicon case, not bad IMO but expensive. U can choose a cheaper case such as Spigen Liquid Air Armor (my brother using). Price 60% cheaper than Apple Silicon case but better quality IMO.

I also owned Spigen Air Skin but don’t recommend it. Very slippery and can’t provide much protection. Slim and looks very nice though.

I came from 6s Plus. I actually prefer the size of X, not too big.

I am getting used to the gesture on X now, sometimes when I use back 6s Plus, I keep swipe up from bottom to get to home screen, but end up control center comes up. sweat.gif

For me, I think X is the most beautiful iPhone after 4/4s. I am also one of the minority here who loves the notch design.

Battery life is on par with Plus model. No problem for whole day use.

As someone mentioned, it’s really depends on how u use.

My experience of port-in from existing telco to another telco.

They will give u a new SIM card with a new number while in the process of port-in your existing number. After the process successful, the new number will be automatically replaced by existing number.

If failed then u have to use 2 numbers, but normally won't fail.

Silicon case vs Leather case

Leather case turn into black from Saddle brown and Apple logo faded after 2 years usage.

(Edit: Original colour is brown not saddle brown)

My mistake, it is brown not saddle brown.

The original colour is a bit light brown as shown in Apple website. After 2 years just turn dark as in my photo.

Normal QC 3.0 won’t do the fast charge. Must use 29W USB C PD charger connect to lightning to USB C cable from Apple.

I have bought Anker PowerPort 5+ USB C charger but yet to try because I don’t have the cable from Apple, too expensive.

Yes agreed. I am also using iPad charger at the moment. Saw some chart shows that 29W Apple charger only 15mins faster than iPad charger to complete a full charge. Not really worth to spend more money on this fast charge thing at the moment.

Bought Anker because of heavy discount during 11.11 sales.
