Oohh, the infamous touch screen disease. Yeah, it's probably time to change. From 6+ to 8+ is also a good upgrade, don't really need to go to the X if you don't want to. The green line is an isolated case, if it happens to you, Apple will replace your device. Shouldn't be a problem.
*
is this screen disease only happen on 6/6+?

dah jgn gaduh2. dont get the phone la. boring la this phone. sampai sekarang i dont know why i bought this phone x except the Hype surrounding it..

1) Pig face Animoji "limited-to-10-secs"? sent it to few friends, and u will get bored with it within few days.
2) Face ID? It works flawlessly, but finger print better.
3) No home button. Yeah. swiping up is the "new trend".
4) great camera - nahh....
5) Oled screen - this is the only big point of having an iphone X. But i do compare it on previous iphone, the different seems negligible with naked eye.

Its a great phone. No doubt. But its a hype and expensive. The thing will fades after 2 days of using it. And i no longer feel proud of using it. So yes. u nak beli u beli. u tak nak beli u jgn beli. simple. Ha ha ha ha.
*
Hahahahhaha!!Ya......memang haram jadah punya hype.

Reverted back to 8plus , the screen feels to small for me sweat.gif

Actually these wow factors applies to every new thing we acquire, not just phone. Fun part is the aniticipation feeling before you got it. Bored part is once u got it, few days later its just another "phone"..no big deal. That's why I say, if you guys can cheaper and wait slightly longer, at least wait for the official launch and don't waste money for scalpers, just wait for it.

I am surprise reverting back to 8+. maybe the phone casing is playing trick with your eye. u feel 8+ is bigger from what you feel by holding but the screen viewable size actually smaller than X.

Still I am not decide to get 8+ or X. And also whether to get it here or HK next February. But my 6+ is dying.....one day I will ketuk till the screen crack to make the touch screen working. bangwall.gif bangwall.gif

QUOTE(Yen8on3 @ Nov 15 2017, 04:46 PM)
"Display. This is the big one, quite literally. I’ve seen a lot of people assume the X will be an unambiguous slam dunk in this regard, saying the device has a bigger screen than the iPhone 8 Plus in a body close to the size of the regular iPhone 8. But this isn’t really true, and I think a lot of people used to the Plus-sized iPhones will be disappointed with the X in practice.

Yes, the iPhone X has a 5.8-inch screen compared to the iPhone 8 Plus’ 5.5-inch display. It’s also true that the X’s is higher resolution. But the 8 Plus’ screen is actually bigger. The X uses a narrower aspect ratio, so while it’s longer on the diagonal, you still get more surface area on the Plus overall — and that’s before you account for the notch and the rounded corners. I know, comparing screen sizes isn't what it used to be.

THE X WON'T SHOW PLUS-SIZED APP LAYOUTS
But the bottom line is that the Plus will display more useful content at once, even with its lower resolution. It’s wider as you hold it in portrait, which is why Apple introduced a new size class for app layouts when the iPhone 6 Plus first came out. Apps, websites, and so on have 414 horizontal “points” — the unit of measurement that the screen is divided into for design purposes — to fill on the Plus, while the X has 375, the same as the regular iPhone 8. The X has more vertical points, of course, because of the taller screen, but a lot of that will be occupied by the notch and home button bar.

What this means is that apps on the X will use the same basic layouts as the iPhone 8, not the Plus. You'll get more vertical content in portrait mode, but in landscape mode you'll actually see less vertical screen space than even the smaller 8 because of how developers need to avoid the virtual home button bar as well as the notch. You won't get the Plus' iPad-style multi-panel views, either. And how long will it take before all your apps get updated for the X in the first place? I'm still using several that never got updated for the iPhone 6.
The X’s screen may well be better quality — we’ll have to see how Apple’s first attempt at an OLED phone turns out, but I have high hopes for the panel itself. Obviously, there’s also no denying that the X makes far better use of available space; the iPhone 8 Plus’ chunky bezels are pretty anachronistic for a phone at this price in 2017. But I’m too used to the Plus layouts, and the accompanying information density, to go back to what’s often going to feel like a smaller phone in actual use.

Video is also a concern with the X. When watching regular 16:9 content, the notch and aspect ratio mean that you’re either going to have a lot of wasted space, or things are going to look weird. (Granted, the X will possibly be better for viewing wider cinematic content, in case you do feel like watching Lawrence of Arabia on the bus.)
This morning I caught up on the weekend’s Premier League action on my 8 Plus, for example. I wouldn’t really want to do that on anything smaller, but coupled with the much-improved speakers it’s a great experience on the Plus. As with TVs, it turns out that a big 1080p 16:9 rectangle is the best and most reliable way to show the majority of video content out there."
The main takeaway is  THE CURRENT iPHONE X WON'T SHOW PLUS-SIZED APP LAYOUTS AND ALL PLUS-SIZED ADDITIONAL FEATURES.

many thks for the comment. technically explained....if we can tahan more longer and just get the 8+ let this new era phone developed and evolved better next year then we can jump into it. Unless u can afford to change iphone every year then it ok to buy the X now. if not, maybe wait for a year later then get it will be more better. after all, this phone is almost 6k, and if u only afford for this year and not next year for such an expensive phone..then better not upgrade. We don't want to regret later.

Also a fence sitter here. As i'm coming from 6+, screen size and battery life are key points. But the heart is saying go with the new design and technology. Even if I put the price difference aside, i still could not decide  sweat.gif

same here...using 6+ now...if u can just get thru it with ip8+ then coming years you might not regret.

get the X.. some might argue get the plus as it’s the same, but i believe X will truly shine when all the apps are optimized for it. and they really nailed the faceid.. haven’t miss the button at all
*
your avatar try to convince ppl get the X LOL!!!!!!

faceid wise or touch id i never use at all as along as i used my iphone or ipad. so its not important to me....but maybe i will try use faceid.

I think with this face id, when we choose for the phone case, its no good to buy the flip covered case and it will slow down to unlock the phone.
