Hi, relatively new samsung pay user. I was thinking of compiling a list of stores that are samsung pay Friendly.
Of course this list may be huge as certain stores have difficulty in acceptance of this technology, depending on the cashier and which branch. But I'm getting bored with farming Jaya grocer, my news and McDs 😂.

Shops that accept Samsung Pay

Makan Places
1. McDonalds - any amount
2. Vivo Pizza - RM30 and above
3. KFC (Some branches, unsure which ones)
4. Juice works - no minimum
5. Sakae Sushi
6. Fish & co (Minimum RM20)
7. Starbucks
8. Dragon-i
9. Ozen Zanmai
10. Mr Dalkgabi
11. Papparich
12. Foret Blanc
13. Baskin Robbins
14. San Francisco Coffee
15. Sushi Zanmai
16. Hong Kong Hotpot

2. Giant - any amount
3. Tesco - any amount
4. Aeon - any amount
5. Jaya Grocer
6. Ikea
7. Village Grocer
8. (?) Mr DIY (around KL region, requires further clarification)
9. BMS Organic MyTown
10. Yubiso

Convenience Store
1. Family Mart
2. MyNews

Movie Theatre
1. GSC
2. TGV
3. MBO

Pharmacy
1. Guardian - any amount
2. Watsons - any amount (minus Avenue K)
3. Caring Pharmacy - RM10 and above for Pavilion branch

BookShop
1. Chapter One - RM50 and above
2. Popular - RM10 and above
3. Times bookstore
4. Borders the gardens

Clothing
1. Cotton On
2. H&M
3. Uniqlo
4. Metrojaya (depending on cashier?)
5. Brands Outlet

1. MBG Fruits - RM30 and above
2. Vsmash kuchai lama (yonex concept store)

Petrol stations that accept Samsung Pay
1. Caltex - Paywave at pump
2. Petronas
3. BHP - Min RM30, MasterCard terminal at pump

Shops that do not accept Samsung Pay/Credit cards 🙁
1. Daiso
2. MrDIY (Jaya shopping center)
3. Texas Chicken
4. BookXcess
5. Padini Outlet
6. Maxis (ss2)
7. Marks and Spencer
8. Melur & Thyme
9. Digi (1Utama)
10. Petronas Sri Muda
11. McDonalds Gunung Rapat
12. AllITHypermarket

If there are specific branches that accept/refuse use of Samsung pay, just post and the list will be updated as needed.
This list reflects shops that I/Other forummers frequent.
Do not forget that there is a list of shops that are stated within the Samsung pay app.

Compilation of merchants will be from both this thread and the Samsung Pay beta thread.
Samsung Pay Beta

The following two messages will be problems associated with the usage of Samsung pay as well as a list of areas where farming may be done easier (eg areas containing multiple friendly merchants/self paying kiosks)

I do not intend for this thread to replace the general discussion of Samsung pay, merely to encourage usage where possible.

Areas with Multiple Samsung Pay Merchants:

SS2 square: McDonalds, FamilyMart, Watson, Caring, Guardian, MyNews
- All merchants are familiar with SamsungPay so no problems with farming here. Lots of walking to increase your SHealth Level too biggrin.gif

Majority of Shopping malls will have at least one MyNews and one Pharmacy

Of note:
Jaya Shopping Center
- MyNews, Jaya Grocer within the complex, McDonalds, Guardian, Watson, Caring outside. Another MyNews in Jaya33 (across the road)

Disclaimer: I prefer places where I can walk abit. Otherwise by the time I get the Gear S3, I might need to change to a bigger wrist strap.

Thanks bro! Quite useful information you got here.

I once tried Padini Outlet but they said they didn't have Paywave (In a way harder to convince them to use MST for Samsung Pay). And the cashier seemed quite reluctant to even try.

Petronas do accept, provided the cashier know how to do it. I've been rejected twice at their petrol station and accepted in others.

Also accepted by the following merchants:

Starbucks
Jaya Grocer
Village Grocer
Popular Bookstore
Dragon-i
Ozen Zanmai
Cotton On (MST)
H&M (one success, another crashed their terminal sweat.gif )

Not all Watsons accept SPay or even card at any amount. Mid Valley accept at any amount, Avenue K outright refused. Family Mart sometimes open only cash counters.

I tried in Metrojaya Brem Mall. On first floor, their cc machine has Samsung Pay logo. They said they forgot so I just told them just like normal cc. After they scan and select cc, just tap at mst.

However when I wanna pay at second floor, cashier die die reject. Saying no instruction from superior. The machine don't have Spay logo sticker.

Another place is mr dakgalbi publika. I said paywave and the said ok. Tap my phone and done.

Paparich E-gate, Penang doesn't have SPay logo/tag/sticker.
Yesterday lunch, I asked if their terminal supports Wave. The cashier said no.
Their terminal is HLB.

I'll tell the cashier that I want to pay using Wave.
Then, I'll pull out or get ready with my phone.

Just tested on Sushi King, Jaya One.

All the time I just asks Pay Wave. Cause I think they don't know Samsung Pay but are more familiar with Pay Wave. If they said no, I won't insist further even if I suspect their machine can do it.
