Fallout : BOS ... Ok for me with the gameplay...

Still prefer Fallout 2 where you don't have to follow mission... You can go wherever you want...

* prays for prostitute in town *
* prays for more weapons/skills/items *
* prays for more NPC interaction *
* prays that having s*x wif prostitute is not only black screen *

Still dunno how the game gonna looks like...

Released already kar? Can't wait for it ...

I am sick of waiting.. Just dont put so much hope..

I don't want black screen when having s3x with prostitute in Fallout 3 !

Oblivion engine is of course very gay. Even you have the best PC in the world. There's gonna be glitches or lag, loading forever, abnormal behaviour of AI, etc ... Not sure though for Fallout 3.

I guess many people are already commenting on the game & soon you will see several patches coming out.

I don't bother. 10/10 of my game is triple X version.

He is asking about cracked game here which mod don't like.

My game often crash ...

Well, Oblivion is better because you can explore everywhere. Fallout 3 pretty much covered by ruins and buildings. The only place you can use is subway which pretty much the same everywhere.

She's ugly and I only let her use the sledge hammer.

No companion is better but I need someone to carry things.

I guess it will last for quite a long time after the construction set hits the official download page . Mod will keeps people playing it ...

Anyone with random crash / freeze should give it a try.

For those who alt-tab, alt-F4 or start game crash. Download the latest patch available. 1.0.0.15.

Yeah it fixes some of it only. I still experience crashes today.

Ok, since I read many solutions elsewhere. Might as well share it here for you guys to enjoy.



If you can't start new game. Probably you don't have K-Lite Codec Pack installed ...
Those who experience random or certain point crash, freeze, etc ...

• from Bethesda website
  1. Click Start
  2. Click “All Programs” (or just Programs, depending on the version of Windows, whether they’re using “classic,” etc.)
  3. Go to the ffdshow folder.
  4. Click “Audio decoder configuration.”
  5. In the left hand pane, click “Info & debug.” This is the second entry in the list.
  6. In the right hand pane, near the bottom, find a check box labelled “Don’t use ffdshow in:”
  7. Check that box, and in the text box underneath (it lights up when you check the check box), add “fallout3.exe” (don’t include the quotes). If there is already something in that box, put a semi-colon ( ; ) after what’s already there, and fallout3.exe after that. Do NOT use spaces, since ffdshow will think that’s part of the filename. A valid entry would be “explorer.exe;fallout3.exe” (without quotes).
  8. Finally, click “Ok” and start Fallout 3.
• Update K-Lite Codec Pack
• Turn off AA
• Run in windowed mode

There's one gamer who uninstall the game, run disk cleanup & defrag. Reinstall and start new game. Works for him.

This is my way and you should try. The easiest. Restart your Vista. Many people use standby mode when they're not using so the next time you hit the power button. It straight gets in the window.

Well, it does help me with certain location.

I deliver lucy's letter to Arefu. On the way to the family's location. It crashed. So, I run windowed mode and got through.

Then when I wanna go through the tunnel to family's hideout. It crashed. Then i run full screen and got through.

Weird.

Fable must follow path which Fallout 3 no need ...
Many games also can leveling & trade ...
This is more fun than those games..

Surviving tips :-

S - 5 ( Useless cause 1 = Extra 10 weight. Unless you're melee character )
P - 5 ( Useless cause I can spot enemy better using V )
E - 6 ( Extra 1 for more hit points )
C - 5 ( Useless )
I - 7 ( The most important but don't max it out first )
A - 7 ( Important for more Action Points )
L - 5 ( For critical but not worth adding )

Skill. Put small gun, lockpick & Repair.

If you know where is Rivet City. Then straight head there to get Intelligence bobblehead. Otherwise, head to Megaton to finish some quest for experience. Add Intelligence till 9 first & the rest depend on ur playstyle. I wouldn't recommend adding to Strength as the Strongback perk is far more better. As for skill, add small gun till at least 50. The rest is lockpick 25, science 25 & explosive 25. Max out repair to 90 only.

Do the bomb quest in Megaton which requires 25 explosive. Then you will get a house in there. Got one robot can supply you 5 Purified water. Will regenerate back but don't know how long as I don't use much later on. Then head to Lucas Simms house for Strength bobblehead which add 1 to your Strength. When you reach level 4, pick the perk that add 3skills when ya leveled up. Forgotten what name.

The rest i guess you will figure out when ya play...
