Yea, especially when December got lots of holidays in SEA. Bad move to release it so late in January.

Hello, adventurers.
This is The MMORPG, Black Desert.

First of all, we would like to thank all the adventurers for being a part of the CBT from November 22 to 26.
All of the staff at Pearl Abyss were deeply touched by the affection you showed toward the Black Desert.

Second, we’d like to sincerely apologize for the disappointment that you felt when the OBT schedule was announced, even before the excitement you felt during the CBT was gone.

Pearl Abyss has gone through all of the feedback that you shared to us from the CBT.
A lot of adventurers mentioned issues related to the translation and network quality. We also agree on the fact that we still have more improvements to make in these areas before starting the service.

So as a result, although we aimed to start our service within this year, we felt the need to provide you with better service in return for your support.
That’s the reason why we’ve decided that the best time for that would be January.

We feel that our dedication to providing good service and desire to announce the dates as early as possible so that your excitement for the Black Desert doesn’t lose its intensity, wasn’t as transparent as we had hoped it to be.

Pearl Abyss has the following planned for the OBT that will start in January.

First, we are working to improve our translation quality.
We are working to make an overall improvement in the translation quality. 
During the OBT, you will get to experience a bigger world with more contents. We will work hard to improve the quality in all areas so that the every moment you spend in the Black Desert world is worth it.

Second, we will offer a download method that suits your network environment.
We’ve noticed the fact that many of our adventurers were experiencing difficulties downloading the client during the CBT due to an unstable network.
Even now, Black Desert is trying to make a game that runs smoothly on various PC specifications while reducing the capacity of the client through optimization. However, there are limitations that prevent us from providing a service that takes all the adventurers’ network environments into consideration.

In addition to receiving the update automatically from the launcher, we want to provide an environment that enables smooth gameplay by providing client patches as well as a way to manually download new patch contents.

Thirdly, we are doing our best to provide a stable service.
We’ve been working hard to optimize the global version of the Black Desert.
We found some problems during this process, and we’ve been working on it to raise the stability of the optimized version.
We’re doing our best to finish the optimization process before we launch an official service in Southeast Asia. Based on these steps, we hope to provide a more stable service at the OBT. 

Pearl Abyss is well aware of the fact that you have high expectations about our service in the Southeast Asia region since we are servicing the game ourselves. The Black Desert Operation Team will do our best to provide you a game with the best quality that will satisfy your expectations.

We promise you that we’ll be always open to your suggestions and listen to your opinions.
Everyone at Pearl Abyss is working hard so that the excitement you felt at the CBT can continue to the OBT as well.
