Hey guys, am new to Black Desert Online. One of my friends talked me into starting playing it, but the early game seems like a mess. There are some veterans running around with epic gear and stuff. I wish to get that too, but seems like it will be a while before I get there. Do you think power leveling an account is a good option? Do you think I should go for it? Or is it better to grind and get to endgame by yourself?

Dude, theres no monthly to pay. Theres no need to rush everything.

Dont power level. You can get to level 56 in a week if you follow the main quest and do some side quest in the area. No grinding needed Btw, after 61, the exp graph goes up like a skyscraper

Gears are only important if you want to pvp. If pve, just upgrade you gear as you go. The gears you got from main quest should be enough until Altinova area. After that, you can use the market to buy boss gears. Should have enough money by that time.

Oops, I guess after 2 weeks of playing gonna stop again. The RNG and enhance weapon/armor is just absurd.

Hence why i always stop playing, and then continue again after 2,3 months
The RNG is ridiculous, all the grind for nothing (failed TET acc many times). The most profitable life skilling is bartering but I found it to be so boring.
Well, since I have so many games to play, I will take a break from BDO for a while.

Planning to game on black desert, do i need pay for monthly or one time fee? just finish downloading and when i press star, it ask me get the adventure pack.

Just when you buy the game, the rest is free no subscription. But... it's your choice to buy the value pack, rm30 something or rm40 for 30 days. Without value pack, anything you sell/buy in the in-game market, will have an insane tax.
