If I have a wireless access point at home, can I use a regular USB Wireless adapter instead of the original Xbox wireless network adapter to connect my Xbox to the network?

If you don't wanna spend money on official accessories (which you can't reuse), just get another Wireless AP, connect it to the Xbox via a network cable and bridge it with your other AP.
